Chapter Seven

(Armin's POV)

"Quiet, he's waking up" a familar voice commands.

I open my eyes and groan softly. I look around to see that I'm in the infirmary with Jean, Mikasa, Hanji, and Corporal with Eren under his arm are standing infront of my bed.

"What happened?" I croak, my throat burning.

"Jean saved you and-" Hanji begins.

"Don't say it!" Eren growls, clenching his fists.

"I saved you and Eren from the female titan. So Eren, who is th-"

"Shut up Horseface!" Eren yells as he tries to walk out of the room, but Heichou grabs his shirt.

"Goddamn brat" he mutters. "So how do you feel?" Corporal asks, crossing his arms.

"I'm fine" I lie, getting out of bed, standing still. "See?" I say as I take a short lived step. I lose my balance and fall into Jean's arms.

Jean lays me back on the bed, and looks at me solemnly and says, "You're not fine. You have three fractured ribs, and a broken leg."

"What" I gasp.

"That bitch is going to pay for what she did" Jean mumbles, staring at the floor.

"Hey" I murmur, and Jean looks at me. I smile softly and whisper, "I'm alive."

"But you're hurt and I wasn't there soon enough to protect you. I could have stopped her!" Jean yells.

"Jean! Calm down" Corporal orders as he pokes his head through the doorway.

"You should probably rest. You look exhausted" I yawn. "Come lay with me."

(Jean's POV)

I smile and lay on the bed, next to him. "Armin?" I whisper.

"Yes?" he murmurs, laying his head on my shoulder.

"I love you."

That night

“Awe, look at them. That is so cute" someone squeals.

“Tch whatever, just wake them up so I can leave. I have some business with Jaeger.”

“Levi, go ahead. I can handle this. Just make sure that Eren is quieter than last time.”

“Whatever four-eyes.” I open my eyes and I see Corporal walking out of the room, and Hanji is smiling at me.

“You two are so cute together” she squeals.

“Shh, Armin is still sleeping,” I whisper.

“Not anymore. How could I sleep when Hanji is in the room,” Armin groans.

“Oh, sorry” Hanji says, “I'll go now, see ya later." She then walks out the door.

“I win, I told you they would get together” Hanji and Eren say in unison.

“Shut up. I'm paying you” Levi growls.

I groan and walk out of the room to find Corporal handing money to Eren and Hanji. “Wait, you guys made a bet on us?” I exclaim.

“Of course we did" Hanoi laughs, fanning herself with her newly made cash.

“What's going on out there?” Armin asks.

We all walk into the room to find Armin trying to sit up. “No, you need to stay down. I don't want you to hurt yourself again” I plea.

“I'm fine” Armin stubbornly replies.

I walk over to him and I look in his eyes and I whisper, "Please listen to me, you're injured and you need to lay down and wait til you're healed, okay?”

Armin nods lays down and mumbles “I'm useless, again.”

“You're not useless, you're amazing” I acknowledge, kissing his forehead.

“Awe! That's so sweet!” Hangi squeals.

“You just ruined the moment” Eren whispers.
