I forgot to mention this last time, but reader can't really fight now. Yes, she has a sword, but its not 1. a katana like how I used to write her, and 2. the sword will be replaced later on

Warnings: Robot death, war talk, and manipulation

To the Edge has a schedule now! It will be updated every Sunday. Not at a specific time, but after this upload, the next one will not be until next Sunday (the tenth). If I don't post on a Sunday, check my board. I'll most likely have an announcement there as to why. Those types of announcements will be posted any time between a day in advance to a day after said upload should have gone up.

Thank you, and please enjoy and stay safe lovelies <3

The Vehicons roughed the Autobot up good. (Y/n) had watched the whole fight, face void of emotion (which contradicted how full of life her face was just an hour prior), and the luminescent control lights illuminating her form on the dark ship. (Y/n) even watched as the mine got blown up, hearing Starscream growl next to her.

"The energon is worthless to us now," (Y/n) shook her head.

"You don't think I know that?" Starscream shot back, voice dripping with venom.

(Y/n) was about to fire something back when the Vehicons walked in, dragging a half-unconscious Cliffjumper behind them. Both (Y/n) and Starscream turned to face the oncoming posse. The Vehicons turned to (Y/n), seeming to have already gotten used to a tiny authority figure. The (brunette/blonde/noirette/etc.) teen nodded to them, the Vehicons obediently shoved Cliffjumper forward on his knees. Leaning her weight on one foot, her (eye color) orbs flicked down to Cliffjumper, and immediately narrowed upon seeing the enemy so up close.

"Scream...new girl...It's been a while." (Y/n) rolled her eyes at the sound of Cliffjumper coughing up energon. "So...where's your master?"

      "Nevermind him." Starscream spat.

(Y/n) threw a glance at Starscream, before quickly looking back down at the badly beaten up bot. When she was first abducted by the Decepticons, Megatron had already left on his voyage. Soundwave had told her many stories about the bot, so she had a rough idea of what to expect when he did show up. However, Soundwave refused to show her what he looked like. Wants to keep it a surprise, she supposed.

Whatever else Starscream had said, she didn't hear him. The only thing (Y/n) knew next was Starscream shoving his servo into Cliffjumper's chassis. She winced and slightly turned her head away at his agonized scream, not wanting to hear that sound.

      "Anymore questions?" Starscream spat out.

To (Y/n), it sounded like Cliffjumper was trying to gurgle out a 'why', but it wasn't clear enough. Turning back to the scene, she saw Cliffjumper falling faceplate first on the ground. (Y/n) didn't feel sick, or dizzy, as one might would be. Energon calmly poured out from under the now-deceased bot, and Starscream ordered the two Vehicons to clean it up. (Y/n) only sighed and turned away, just in time to see the Nemesis moving away from the destroyed mine.

(Y/n) knew what she was getting into when she joined the cause, she knew all about the war. All about how terribly Megatron had been treated while he was a miner and a gladiator, and how Optimus Prime - then Orion Pax - ruthlessly stole away the title of Prime away from him. Megatron would've changed their home planet, and yet Optimus and his terrible Autobots were the ones to kill Cybertron. At least, that's what Starscream told her anyway. Soundwave never told her any different, and that's what she believed.

(Y/n) thought the war wasn't going anywhere - it hadn't progressed in eons, why would everything change now? (Y/n) shook her head, pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind once she registered Starscream's high voice cutting into the air. Listening to him ramble on about how he just snuffed an Autobot, (Y/n) kept watch of the main control, trying to put her minimal Cybertronian (taught to her by the one and only Soundwave, of course) to use.

Walking back through the bridge, she felt slightly naked without her sword, but she shrugged it off. (Y/n) would obviously have it back by the next day, so there was nothing to worry about. Soundwave would keep it safe. Moving her kickstand, (Y/n) began to pedal home, a trail of dust coming up behind her. It was considerably less hot now that the sun had gone down, June would probably be home soon. Picking up the speed, (Y/n) raced back into the outskirts, weaving her way on the streets back into the main part of town.

(Y/n) saw a school ad for the dance, one (Y/n) had forgotten all about. "Ah well, not like I'd go anyway."

Pedaling again, (Y/n) made her way past KO burger, where Jack worked. He'd be off by now too, so she continued her journey back home. It wasn't too long, maybe a couple of blocks before she saw the house. Before she reached it though, June pulled up next to her.

"Oh good, (Y/n), have you seen Jack?" June leaned over, rolling down the window.

"No, I've been looking for him." (Y/n) played off of the confusion and worry she saw on June's face.

"Oh no...okay, pull into the garage and hop in the car. We'll look for him." June motioned to their house at the end of the street.

Refraining from letting out a sigh in relief, (Y/n) pedaled again towards the house, June maintaining speed until the garage door began to open. Inside the garage was Jack and a blue motorcycle. When did he get that? It looked an awful like Cliffjumper's partner. What was her name again? (Y/n) thought. Acee? Arc? Arcee? That sounds right. Getting off her bike, (Y/n) glanced up at Jack, who looked more than alarmed.

Wait, that can't be an actual Autobot right in front of me. (Y/n) thought. "Jack, how did you even afford this puppy?"

"A few KO paychecks, she-she needs a ton of repairs." Jack said nervously, still hugging his mom.

"She? Jack, I didn't think you'd be bringing girls home just yet." (Y/n) chuckled, beginning to slowly circle the motorcycle.

"I like to think...she brought me." Jack scratched his neck sheepishly.

Glancing down, when she reached the motorcycle's left side, her stomach dropped and her anxiety spiked. There sat a small Autobot insignia. Soundwave had shown her the Decepticon and Autobot insignia's, he even made her remember them down to the last detail. What was on the motorcycle Jack just brought home, was not one of her teammates.

"(Y/n), you coming in?" Jack poked his head out of the garage door.

"Oh- oh yeah. Sorry." (Y/n) snapped her head up, not knowing both June and Jack had gone inside, and had shut the big garage door.

"You like my bike, huh?" Jack teased, closing the door behind her.

      "Sure beats pedaling." (Y/n) laughed.

The whole time during dinner, (Y/n) had to force it down. She felt absolutely sick to her stomach. What if Arcee (or whatever her name was) had caught on that her team took Cliffjumper? What if she knew her commander killed him? What if Jack had joined the Autobots? Just barely swallowing the last bite, (Y/n) excused herself and said she had some homework to do, and left the room in a hurry. Now, (Y/n) was faced with a predicament; should she report this right now to Starscream, or never tell him and hope he just never finds out?

(Y/n) estimated she had a whole night to decide.
