"It Girl" For The Night

I went back to my personal office and filed the service I did for the Avengers, just to keep track and have in data. All I could think about was Loki during that time, every word I typed made me relive the situation of caring for him as he dauntingly stared at me with his deep eyes. It turned out all that thinking was not only minutes but hours as I checked my watch, it was already 7 pm. I got up from my seat, grabbed my keys, and locked my office on the way out, walking towards the elevator to the top floor once again. This time going to my room felt different and nerve-wracking as I found out a few hours ago, Loki lived right beside me. The elevator dinged open and I walked out, my heels made quite an echo as the lounge was empty on my way to my room. Hmm, they must all be getting ready for the party. I got to my room and before I unlocked and entered, I took a quick glance on my right to see if anything was going on in his room. Nothing, silent. I sighed and made my way in, I knew it would take me more than an hour to get ready so without stopping I made my way straight to the bathroom and turned on my shower. I blast my music and take off my glasses and clothes and walk into the steaming water.

~~~
I got out of the shower and started getting ready, it was one of Stark's party and I knew it was going to be fancy as always. I get my hair done, practically just curling the ends and enhancing my curtain bangs for more volume. I apply just the right amount of makeup and lather myself with body lotion which smelled exactly like my body wash, young but elegant. I got up to look at my closet to see what I can wear, I didn't own many dresses since I had nowhere to go wearing something stylish all the time. I pulled out a black dress that had a deep v-neck cut that grabbed my curves quite well, with slits going up to my hips on both sides. It was quite revealing, but I was not showing up with a puff sleeve maid dress to this party. I paired it with one heel I saved up for, which were the Saint Laurent Opyum sandals in patent leather with a gold-toned heel. I got up adjusting to my dress and heels and decided to put in contacts, rather than wearing glasses, for one night I decided not to look like a nerd. I looked at myself one last time and I was satisfied, as my last touch up I put on some lip gloss to add shimmer and sprayed light perfume, and walked through it. I looked at the time and it was 9:20 already, gosh I was late. I hurried out my door and quickly made my way through the lounge, again empty, and got into the elevator.
I was nervous, it was the right thing to feel. This whole day was nerve-wracking and I was hoping a couple of drinks would drown it away.. As the elevator door opened, I could hear the loud music echoing in the hall on my right. I made my way and found a crowd of people as I kept walking in. Almost everyone's eyes went to me as I walked past everyone, trying to find Mr. Stark or one of the Avengers. I couldn't find anyone, it was extremely crowded. I hopelessly made my way to the closest bar, sat in the far corner which was quite noticeable since everyone was standing up. I asked the bartender for a glass of champagne as I looked around my surroundings.
Everyone seemed like they knew each other, I on the other hand didn't know anyone here. The bartender gave me my glass and I thanked him, looking around the bar I found some magazines on the counter, of course all about the Stark Industries. I grabbed it and started flipping through the pages while sipping my drink, I must have looked pathetic being dressed fancifully but ended up with no date and reading at a party like a nerd. Great, the last thing I wanted to look like, but here I am.
"Dr. Ciel??" I hear a familiar voice, my head shot up as I saw Steve with a shocking look on his face.
"Good evening, Mr. Rodgers," I respond back chuckling, his jaw was touching the ground.
"P-please, call me Steve. W-what are you doing here alone?" He stutters while his cheeks blushed...
"I don't really know anyone here, and I didn't know where everyone was, it's quite crowded in here," I say shyly, I'm so dumb.
"Well, right this way ma'am. Let's hang out with everyone, Tony has been looking for you!" Steve says as he offers his arm.
We walk together arm in arm and we reach a lounge area going up the stairs. Everyone was laughing and having a good time, and once again everyone's eyes landed on Steve and me when we appeared. Other Avengers whom I haven't met earlier, was surprised to see someone who wasn't part of their team.
Tony almost choked on his drink and coughed when he saw me.
"Guess who I found at the bar? Dr. Ciel!" Steve announces.
"It's Lady healer! I'm so glad you can join us." Thor yells, Tony rolls his eyes and I giggle.
"D-Dr. Ciel? Hey! Haha, w-what took you so long?" Tony stutters. Mr. Stark stuttering? That's a first.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't find you guys hehe. Please, call me Elle." I smile, why am I so nervous?
"Well then, Ms. Elle, please come take a seat!" Steve points towards a seat beside him, I smile and thank him while I do.
The night continued with laughter and more drinks, everyone joining or starting a different conversation and for once I started to feel at home. Tony and Bruce talked about an upcoming project they were working on, and the nerd I am decided to listen and join their conversation as the others were talking about their past missions. Bucky and Steve talking about their childhood, meanwhile Vision and Wanda are cuddling on the couch listening to Sam brag about his wings. Everything was going well and I felt relaxed until Thor's booming voice took me out of my daydream.
"Brother! What took you so long? You're late Loki." Thor says. I tense and goosebumps appear all over my body.
 I look towards him and my gods, he looked ravishing. He looked taller in his all-black suit and tie, his long hair was neatly pulled back like always and he just looked so hot. I was getting flustered and the warm tingly sensation was forming just by looking at him. He rolls his eyes at his brother and looks my way, his eyes wander all over my body and I feel naked. Loki walks towards me and takes the seat right next to mine out of all the empty seats around us.
"Give me the flask with the Ale from Asgard." He bluntly tells Thor.
Everyone starts laughing when Thor rolls his eyes and tosses the flask to Loki. I on the other hand stay quiet and admire him in the corner of my eyes, my core starting to pool as I see his long fingers and veiny hands. How does one look that good doing a normal day-to-day thing? My thoughts are cut off as Thor sits right beside me and starts asking questions.
"So Lady Elle, have you ever had Asgaridan Ale?" Thor asks curiously;
"Of course she hasn't point break, she literally met you and Loki today." Tony obviously states, I just giggle and shake my head.
"It's not worth it, Elles!" Sam mentions and everyone laughs, they continue to go back to their conversation and I slowly began to start listening again when I see the flask being handed to me at the corner of my eyes.
 I look over and see Loki, handing me the flask while looking at me with a smirk and intimidation. He leans in and I feel the shivers going down my back as he whispers;
"Afraid, are we?" He challenges, clearly bluffing. He knew I wouldn't take up his offer, but little did he know I was the "It girl" tonight.
Game on.
