3RD PERSON POV

Seungcheol was confused.

Really confused.

"Didn't you all die that day? Where did you go?"

No, Seungcheol wasn't happy to see him. Not after they left him like that.

Baekhyun took Seungcheol's hands and tried to avoid the topic. "Why are you here? This isn't a place for someone like you."

By then, Seungcheol was starting to get annoyed. He sees the older for the first time in 12 years and this is what he says?

"Answer my question. Why did you disappear and not come back? Where did you go? Why was there blood all over the place?"

"I told you this isn't a place for you. It's dangerous. I won't answer anything."

Seungcheol was so annoyed that he grabbed the Prince by his clothes and forced Baekhyun to face him.

"I'm not as weak as I was Baekhyun-ssi. I'm just asking you these because I am curious. Why did you not even come to tell me anything? Were you all sick of me already? Like everyone else is?"

"YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING! YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT IS DANGEROUS AND WHAT IS NOT."

Seungcheol was taken aback by the sudden outburst by the omega and glared at him, now fuming with rage.

"I do not understand anything? I do not know what is dangerous? I may be a little naive but I am not that dumb hyung! Why did all of you suddenly leave?"

Seungcheol's vision was blurred by his tears and he started sobbing.

Baekhyun looked at the younger with a face of sadness but covered it with a cold look. He had always been good at covering up his feelings.

"You will not understand." With that, the omega left Seungcheol's new 'room'.

Seungcheol started full on crying into the pillows, feeling empty.

Downstairs, the ball continued as King Seungjin invited the Carat pack into the private room for the Royals.

When they walked in with the twins leading in front, they watched in awe as they looked around.

There was a bulletproof glass that overlooks the whole ballroom and people from outside wouldn't be able to see what was going on inside.

All 12 boys kneeled down and greeted the Royal Family.

"Stand."

All of them stood up and faced the Royal Family.

"Have a seat. There's no need to be so tense." The 12 werewolves sat down on the plush and soft couches, still unsure on why they have been called.

"You seem to have some connection with Choi Seungcheol. May I ask what your relations are to him?"

Everyone looked at Joshua who holds in a sigh and replied, "Chan and Seokmin met him in school a few years back."

The King nodded, satisfied with the answer.

"What about you two?"

Everyone looked up to see the Princes looking at the twin Alphas.

"I- uh- well-" Joshua didn't know what to say and started stuttering, unsure of the Royals reaction.

Would they accept the two of them?

Jeonghan saw his twin struggling and decided to take it from there.

"Choi Seungcheol is our mate."

Just then, the door opened to reveal Prince Baekhyun.

The prince was giving off a scent which obviously shows that he was in a bad mood and that he was sad.

"Choi Seungcheol is your mate?"

The omega was now looking at the two of them.

The Alphas looked down, pressured by the omegas gaze. He was an omega but he screamed power.

"Yes Your Majesty, he's our mate. We've met before."

"And you two? How did you meet him?" Seokmin and Chan visibly stiffened.

"We met in school when Chan got bullied and Seungcheol-hyung protected him Your Majesty."

The latter simply just hummed and nodded.

"Take care of him. He's too innocent and naive for his own good."

The twins stared at the omega in shock. Even Royal Family was surprised.

"Baek... Do you know him? My younger brother?"

The omega nodded his head, "Get ready. This is a long story."

"What was that bitch doing there?" The short haired beta asked as she and her sister sat with their friends.

"Who?" Their friend, Jackson asked.

"Choi Seungcheol. The stupid mere human who stole Jeonghan and Joshua away from us."

"Choi Seungcheol? Does he have really soft and squishy cheeks and cute doe eyes?"

"I don't find anything cute about him Mark." Hannah replied, annoyed.

The members of the Aghase coven looked at each other, unsure on what to say.

They felt bad for bullying Chan, Seokmin and Seungcheol back in High School and wanted to apologise but at the same time, their friends hated Seungcheol now.

"Technically you two aren't their actual mates though. He is."

"Are you siding with him now Youngjae?"

"I'm not. Just saying."

After that, everything led to an awkward silence.

By the time Baekhyun had finished explaining everything, he was so close to tears.

"We really didn't have a choice then. It was too dangerous for him. What's more is that he was only 9 at that time. He wasn't able to defend himself."

Everyone remained quiet, shocked by what the brown haired omega had just revealed.

Suddenly a knight ran in and gave The King a note.

I see you have found Choi Seungcheol. He may be with you right now, but don't forget that he belongs to me. He's safe for now. But one day I'll claim him back. See you soon Choi Seungjin.

King Seungjin eyes widened in alert and immediately ordered for extra guards to watch the youngest Prince and also asked for the 12 men to stay over at the palace for a while.

At least until they ensured Seungcheol's safety.
