In which donghyuck has ten days to live and he spent it with mark who doesn't know anything about his situation.
Inspired by the most famous coup...
Donghyuck and his sister Yeri went back home when it was already dark outside. Their mom was worried about them but her worries went away when they arrived.
"Hyuck! Yeri! Why didn't you guys message me about anything! I was really worried that my babies were in danger" she said as she hugged both her children in her arms
Yeri and Donghyuck just laughed while staring at eachother. "Mom we're alright. Let's eat? I'm hungry" yeri said as she gestured her mom to the kitchen
They we're eating happily with yeri and donghyuck speaking here and there and including their mom in their conversations. Donghyuck then signaled yeri if he should tell their mom already and yeri just nodded.
"Mom.." donghyuck started the conversation
"Yes honey? Do you need anything?" his mom said worriedly
"Mom, I want you to know that you have been the best mom to both me and yeri. I wouldn't be here right now without you and I truly am thankful for everything. For all the sacrifices that you've made. For every tear you've wasted on me. For all the smiles you gave me. For all the yummy food you put into my mouth. For the comforting words. And for just being my mom. I love you and you already know that. I will always love you." donghyuck said as he gave his mom the most tight and sincere hug. 'This might be the last' he thought.
His mom hugged him back and asked "why are you suddenly saying this to me?"
"Mom, I want you to not freak out alright?" his mom just nodded
"Mom I only have ten days left." he said as he smiled bitterly to his mother
"No no no no. I don't want to lose you honey. This is just.." she couldn't continue as she broke down in donghyuck's hands. Donghyuck and yeri comforted their mother and after sometime she calmed down.
"Honey, does mark know?"
"Not yet mom. I don't have any plans on telling him till the last day." He frowned upon thinking that he has to tell mark that he has to let go.
"Well honey, I'll take a leave tomorrow and spend the whole day and night with the both of you" she said as she took the plates and was ready to wash them
"I love you mom"
"I love you too honey. This might not be easy for me and your sister but we'll try our best not to be sad"
"I'm going back to my room. I'm excited tomorrow"
Donghyuck facetimed mark before going to sleep.
-the next day-
They spent it all day at the mall, park, café, and everywhere they would stop to. They were happy that they spent the whole day holding onto eachother and smiling together happily. They talked about their mom's relationship with their dad and then it slowly went to donghyuck's realationship with mark and onto yeri's 'small' crush on joy.
They slept together in their mom's room because she had a big bed anyways. Donghyuck facetimed mark and they spoke for the rest of the night with donghyuck's mom and yeri squealing every 2 minutes.
