Wondering Woods

- Chapter Two -

Noella took the first step into the woods. "Here we go."

Addison took the camera out of the backpack and began to record themselves. "Today is Saturday the 27th. We aren't to sure how long we are going to be in these woods, so I want to keep a video dairy of everything that happens. You never know what could happen to us here. "

"Oh stop. We are going to be okay." hoped Haley. "I really want to find out what really happened in these woods. I could write a book on it."

"Anyway, I'm going to climb up this tree to see what is beyond. I really don't know how deep these woods are. Addison, hold my backpack." Noella started to climb up the tallest tree she could find. "I think I see a log cabin or something in the distance. I want to find it and see if anyone lives or lived there."

"I don't know if that's the best idea. What if someone does live there and they're crazy psychopaths," worried Haley.

Noella was half way down the tree when she noticed someone standing behind Addison. "Addi, don't mov-"

"I know. I see it too," whispered Addison.

"Hello?" yelled Haley.

"What are you doing ?! Are you stupid ?!" Noella whispered.

"Just watch." said Haley. "Step closer if you can hear me," the person stepped closer, "What's your name?" The man appeared and came close enough for us to see his crystal blue eyes and shiny blonde hair.

"Carson, Carson Young. I just moved here and my dog just ran into the woods; I'm trying to find him. Have you seen a dog by any chance?"

"No I'm sorry. We just got here like 10 minutes ago," said Noella jumping down from the lowest branch. "But you can tag along with us if you want."

"Um, sure. I've heard creepy stories about these woods, I'd rather not be alone. Thanks," said Carson.

"No probs."

"So why are you girls in these woods anyway?"

"We are trying to uncover the truth about the forest. There are so many theories about what goes on here. I find it really interesting," said Haley.

"Neat. What grade are ladies in?"

"Seniors. In high school," said Addison. "What about you?"

"I'm in my first year of college. I'm transferring to your community college because I despise my old one. "

"I can't wait to graduate high school. I plan to go to Harvard, Addison wants to go to cosmetology school, and Noella wants to travel the world," said Haley happily.

"That's cool. I bet Addison is the one with the pretty black braid with the perfect eyebrows and Noella is the red haired girl that just finished climbing a tree. What would your name be smarty pants ?" asked Carson.

"My name is Haley. And good guessing skills by the way. "

"Haha. Thanks."

"Okay Mr. and Mrs. Flirtatious stop the chatter, the cabin is right there." The two story log cabin was in the middle of nowhere. It looked ancient with vines that suffocated the structure.  "Time to discover," Noella said.

"Or die," added Addison.
