(Rosie's POV)

My eyes slowly flickered as I woke up from my sleep. "I am going to Hogwarts!" I exclaimed.

"Be quiet, will you," Cedric called from the other side of the room, he really didn't like being woken up.

I turned to the bedside table in the hotel room to see it was 5 o'clock in the morning. "Oops," I said before lying back in bed and after a while falling asleep.

"Wake up, wake up." "Whose the one waking each other up now," I mumbled.

"It's 10 o'clock, mum wouldn't let me wake you up sooner," he replied

"Oh dear, I am not ready at all!" and I ripped the sheets off of me and ran to the bathroom.

Twenty minutes later I was downstairs eating breakfast with Cedric, wearing a long sleeve checkered red dress with a bow along the waist whilst on my feet were a pair of flats.

"Ok are we ready to go," Father said, walking to our table arm in arm with Mother.

"Yes, papa!" We coursed.

"Ok then go grab your trunks," Mother instructed. Cedric and I left our breakfast on the table and ran up the stairs of the leaky cauldron to grab our bags.

Cedric obviously got there first since he was taller and had longer legs to climb the stairs. Once I had opened the door to our room he was already leaving "Wait for me!" I yelled.

"I'll wait down stairs," he called back.

I ran into our room to find my trunk open next to my cat cage - with penny inside - and a stuffed cow toy hole in it.

"Oh no, where is Mo!" I cried. I then started the search. I looked on all the high surfaces, in all the draws everywhere but I could not find Mo. Admittedly I was very bad at finding lost things.

Whilst I am searching for this toy, you may be wondering why it is so important to me. Well, you see, my brother gave it to seven year old me when he left for Hogwarts three years ago, so I'll always have a piece of him with me. Ever since I could not sleep without it. This is why at 10:30 on the first of september, minutes before I leave for Hogwarts, I am tearing a hotel room apart trying to find a stuffed animal.

"Is everything alright Ros?" Cedric said coming into the room.

"No!" I cried letting a tear fall while he came to hug me, "I can't find Mo!"

"Don't worry we will find it." He then made me sit on his bed and looked around the room for the stuffed cow.

After a while Cedric called "Here he is!" lifting up my bed sheets, "It must of got covered when you woke up this morning, now let's quickly go downstairs, Mother and Father are waiting for us,"

"There you two are, what took you so long Rosie?" Father asked when we got down stairs.

"I lost Mo, papa," I replied, turning a bit red.

"Don't worry dear it happens to the best of us," said Father reassuringly, "Now let's call a cab, shall we,"

Next thing we know we are outside on the streets of London, calling a cab. "Kings Cross Station, sir, thank you," Father informs the driver whilst we put the trunk and cages in the boot.

15 minutes later we are lost in London with only minutes to get to the station. "Do you know where you are going, sir?" Father asked the cab driver.

"I believe so," the driver replied whilst turning the corner and in front of us stood Kings Cross Station.

"Quickly children, we don't have long," Mother said and ushered us out of the car. Father paid whilst we put the bags on trolleys.

"Hurry dears, we need to be quick," Father said, pushing my trolley since I was too short to do it myself.

We soon arrived at the space between platform nine and ten. "Ok, Cedric and Elosie, you two go first then Rosie and I will go after you," Father explained. Cedric and Mother then ran straight at the hard solid wall and suddenly disappeared.

"Our turn flower," Father said. I had done this twice before when dropping off Cedric, but now I was going to Hogwarts it was a lot more nerve wracking.

"Hold on Rosie, on the count of 3 ok," father said, starting to count, "1...2...3!" and we started to run.

When I opened my eyes there was a bright red train with the words Hogwarts Express on the front. A sign above us read 'platform 9 ¾'. I was here starting my first year at hogwarts.

"Come on now, Rosie, let's put you on the train," Father said making his way to the entrance of the train whilst I followed him and Mother and Cedric were there when we arrived since this is where we usually drop off Cedric and now me.

"Oh I am going to miss you both so much, especially you Rosie!" Mother said, wiping away a tear.

"Me too," Father added, wiping away his own tears.

The train gave a loud whistle signalling the train's departure. "Here's your trunk and cage, Rosie," Father said whilst handing me the bags, "Once the train leaves go find yourself a carriage and maybe some friends as well."

"Cedric please look after her for us!" Mother exclaimed.

"I always do mama," Cedric replied and then hugged Mother and Father. I followed suit and hugged both my parents.

The train slowly started to move. "Write to us, won't you." Mother called as the train picked up speed.

"I will mama!" I called back but my words were lost to the wind. Now the adventure begins.
