A Looming Disaster:Log 2

Something strange is going on.  Something even worse is about to happen, I can feel it in my guts; but I'm not so certain what.  I know that I'm not supposed to get personal with these logs, but am supposed to only report what is happening.  However, at a time such as this, what I have to report is my overwhelming fear and feeling of what is to come.  If anyone ever finds this in the future and something has happened to us, well, now you know how at least one of us felt about the situation.

January 13, 2345.  1:45 PM.

Ushaya was downloading a new update for the health files of the crewmates.  Of course, no one had actually received a check up yet.  She figured that they should start doing that.  With all the stress building and fear, she was sure that more than one member would need to start taking anxiety pills.

Sighing, she made her way over to to Med Bay.  As she was walking through the hall, she stopped when she came near Electric.  Carson Lapis stopped right in front of the entrance to Electric and screamed.  Ushaya, being the nurse and kind heart she was, dashed into Electric.  The sight made her scream.

There on the ground was the body of Bob Pines.  He was covered in his own blood, impaled all the way through.  He hadn't been dead for long either.

Then her eyes traveled up a little as she realized there was feet standing by the body.  It was Dylan.  He had some blood on his hands and he was staring at the body.  No one else was around.

Before Ushaya could observe anything more, Carson slammed his hand on the emergency button, calling everyone to gather in the center.  The loud sound entered their ears, and was enough to snap Dylan out of his trance.  He whimpered as he covered his ears.

Ten minutes later, everyone was crowded around the meeting table.  Obviously, Bob Pine's seat was still empty.

"It's with a heavy heart that I must inform to all of you that Mr. Bob Pine has been murdered," Carson said.

The room gasped.  "By who?"

"Ushaya, you were with me, what did you see?"  Carson looked at the girl.  "I don't want to jump any conclusions."

"Well, I..." Ushaya began slowly.  "I was walking through the hall from storage, on my way to do my tasks. Before I reached Electric, Mr. Lapis had entered and screamed.  I rushed in and found the dead body of Mr. Pine and standing over him was Dylan.  The blood was still on his hands..."

"That's how I saw it," Carson Lapis agreed.

"What!"  Captain Colby looked at the boy in shock.

"Wh-what?"  Dylan looked terrified as everyone looked his way.

"Guys, I know he looks sus," Aiden began.  "But this is Dylan."

"That says nothing," the Captain huffed.

"Before we point fingers at anyone," Marana Rouge spoke up, let us hear his side of the story.  "Dylan, can you please give us your alibi?"

"I-I was just doing my job as janitor, honest!  When I walked in, I saw Mr. Pine's dead body."

"Why didn't you call for help or call an emergency meeting?"  Captain Colby Lemon demanded.

"I panicked!"  Dylan was at the brink of tears.

"But that doesn't explain the blood," Anita Scarlett pointed out.

"I... I checked his pulse... well... tried to... I couldn't find one..."  Dylan explained slowly.  "I must have gotten the blood on me then..."

"The whole experience could have easily traumatized him," Dr. Lynda Violet offered.

JJ ranna hand across his chin, sighing.  "They could all be telling the truth, which scares me.  That means someone among us is the murderer and was able to get out of there before anyone noticed."

"And we have no video footage for proof because the cameras are no longer recording," Aiden grumbled.  "We can look through them but we can't save any records."

"We should vote what to do next," Marana Rouge said.  "Do we find something guilty or do we leave it be?"
