Alyxx was currently lying on her bed, spinning her beautiful rose gold bracelet around her index finger. The light bounced off the delicate surface at all angles making it glow in a celestial manner. She gazed in awe.
She stopped spinning it as she sat up and carefully grazed the engravings on the inside of the solid band. Her family members were all there. Dead and alive.
I miss you.
It was after their first Vlive. All the girls were excited and it was a success to say the least. Alyxx smiled at the thought of her fans leaving kind comments to her and all the members. They were all grateful for the positive response and made a pact to work harder for their fans. Guess not everyone hates me.
Alyxx shook her head. She always had a habit to think and focus on the negative things that she knew she must learn to appreciate how the positives outweigh any negative. Self-love is the most important type of love after all.
She closed her eyes as she thought about her encounter with Mark.
*flashback*
"Isn't it obvious? I was waiting for you."
Alyxx blinked. Mark peered at her intently before smiling as he walked ahead. He turned back. "Aren't you coming?" Alyxx jumped slightly at the sound of his voice and quickly caught up with him. They walked in silence before Alyxx turned to him. "Do you act like this with all your hoobaes?"
Mark faced her, confusion written on his face. "Act? What do you mean?"
"It's just, you're acting as if we're friends already, it's like you don't think of yourself as our sunbae." Mark chuckled sheepishly. "If I think about it we actually haven't introduced ourselves properly. I don't know how you know my name but you don't even know my age or what I shou-"
"You're a 99-liner. Just like me." He said, looking straight ahead.
Alyxx tilted her head. She then widened her eyes. "Are you a stalker? Omg!" She ran away from Mark and she continued joking about him stalking her while Mark ran to catch up with her. They were both laughing until Mark grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him. Alyxx's breath hitched as the distance closed between them.
They were standing face to face and could feel each other's breath on their faces. He stared into her eyes. "Alyxx Kim. Half Canadian, Half Korean and born, like me, in Toronto. You're Main rapper and Main Dancer, your performances on I-Land have gone viral in Korea so stop acting as if no one knows who you are!"
His outburst surprised Alyxx. Her mouth was left agape as he stepped away, finally. She gulped before stepping away subconsciously. "I.....I....," Alyxx mumbled as she attempted to get her thoughts straight. Mark smirked. "You better stop acting like you're not known, you're actually quite popular among male idols." Alyxx furrowed her eyebrows. "But....but I don't know anyone."
"Just because you don't know someone doesn't mean they don't know you....or of you anyways."
"But, not everyone likes me, there's always loads of hate comments."
Mark sighed.
"I get it. You see a few hate comments and you think that's what everyone must think. But it's not true. Also, positives always outweigh the negatives. Almost 99% of the viewers were praising you for your skills yet I guess you only focused on the mean ones," he said with a disapproving gaze.
Alyxx looked down feeling embarrassed. He placed his finger underneath her chin and made her face him. Her eyes widened as he came closer to her face. "Honestly, if you ask me, they're probably jealous that they don't have what you got." He winked as a blush spread profusely across Alyxx's cheeks. He chuckled as his gaze turned serious. "They'll try to knock you down.....but you just gotta get back up."
*end flashback*
His words were engraved in her head. Who would have thought Mark Lee would be giving me life advice? Alyxx scoffed at the thought. She snuggled into her covers as she closed her eyes.
It's only been a week but I know idol life is beyond crazy.
