Imagine #49 - Damon Salvatore

{That's my girl}

(Y/n) and Damon sat together in the restaurant. "Can I just say, you look amazing tonight," Damon smiled, pouring out her drink and together they clinked their glasses. "You don't look so bad yourself." (Y/n) smiled, taking a sip. In the corner of the room, she saw two women staring at her, she tried to ignore it but couldn't help but feel self-conscious.

"I love you." He smiled, after noticing the two women staring.

"I love you too." (Y/n) smiled as Damon took her hand across the table. He tilted his head to the side slightly in order to hear what the girls were saying; they were clearly talking about (Y/n). 

"I can't believe that someone like her is with someone as hot as him." One of them said. 

"I know." The other one replied. "He deserves someone way better than her." Damon felt (Y/n), tapping his hand. "Hey, are you okay?" She asked. Damon, looked back at her and smiled. 

"Wonderful." He replied. "You are making me the happiest man alive." He stopped and thought about this sentence. "Maybe not alive, but you know what I mean." (Y/n) laughed as the waiter came over and took their order. 

"I'm just going to use the restroom." (Y/n) smiled. 

"I miss you already." Damon smiled as he watched the two women get up and head towards eh doors as they had finished their meal. "Hey," Damon said, getting their attention. The women looked at one another before looking at him. "Hey." They said in unison.

"You know, I couldn't help but notice you looking over here." He smiled, biting on his lip. "And I just wanted to let you both know-" He stopped and thought about a nice way to say the rest of his sentence. "What awful people you are."

"Excuse me?" One of the women replied, taken aback.

"If you can talk that way about someone who is beautiful inside and out then it shows how rotten to the core you are." Damon smiled once more, waving as they stormed out. He took a sip of his drink, feeling proud of himself. About two minutes later, (Y/n) returned. "What are you smiling at?"

"I'm smiling because I've never been better." He admitted. "I love you."
