Maia kept squirming around on the bed trying to find the right position. She kept flipping to the right. Flopping to the left, but nothing worked. It didn't feel like she was at home.

The clock kept ticking and tocking while she was trying to get comfortable, but it seemed like it took an hour for a minute to pass. It was probably because she didn't feel safe. The cops could bust in any time, and if she was sleeping, she wouldn't have time to escape.

They would kick down the door with all of their leather boots. Mr. And Mrs. Wolffe would come running down the stairs, Ansel probably in a casual sleeping set and Elise most likely in a gorgeous silk, slimming gown. Both rushing down he stairs trying to catch their breaths. "We are here for Maia Dior Tasmin." they would show them their police badges and shove Ansel and Elise out of their ways to get to Maia.

When they finally got upstairs the men would open every single door, scaring Faye, Clayton, Derrick, and Caleb. Finally they would have to pry open the door attached to the guest bedroom and spot Maia immediately. As the police would clasp the handcuffs on her, the Wolffe family and Derrick would stare at her in disappointment. One day in their home and she's already ruined it. Or worse, but Maia didn't want to think about it.

As she thought about the horrible things, Maia heard her stomach growl. It sounded like a monster. Then she automatically switched to spy mode. She tip-toed to the door and slowly opened it just enough to slip out of the room. Quietly, she creeped down the carpet-covered stairs until she reached the 2nd living room. As she was approaching the kitchen, she heard a noise. Everyone was sleeping, so who could it be? She'd seen the Wolffe couple March up to their room in sync. Not too long ago Faye and Clayton went into their rooms. After the shower, Caleb escorted her to the guest room, and spied Caleb in his room. But she never saw Derrick, but he couldn't be here...right?

The sound started to get quieter and Maia started to pay attention less. The slick stainless-steel refrigerator stood in front of her, filled with chocolates, strawberries, everything. She had to make sure that she had something no one would notice was gone. After thinking, Maia grasped a few carrots and put them in her mouth.

The noises returned. Maia quickly whipped around to see what the commotion was. As she caught a glimpse of the figure, she automatically figured it out. The dark black hair was messy and the Hazel eyes almost stared into her soul. Suddenly she was now face to face with the guy.

...Derrick.
