PoV: Bean

It was so quiet today. I was walking back from school, Tobias wasn't with me today. Lonely...

"Hey~ Bean~" I knew that voice. I looked up to the stone wall. It was Minnie, an orange cat who lived in one of the houses near the park, "That human boy isn't with you today."

"No. He said he had to stay after school. When he says that he always comes home smelling like the kittens in the pet shop. He won't be home until after sunset."

"Tsk. I hate owners like that!" She jumped onto my shoulders. I held my hands out and she laid in my arms, "Going around, petting any cat they please as though we have no feelings. I'll think I'll go home and use my owner's nest as a scratching post."

"Nest? Oh, that's called a bed," I strached behind her ear.

"Whatever! My owner - a little lower-" I moved my hand to her neck, "Thank you. My owner got a new kitten yesterday! I don't want to raise a kitten! It's too much work! All she wants to do is play. She won't even pay attention long enough to learn to hunt!"

"You could use a toy to teach her," I reached into my pocket an pulled out my house keys. I bit off the feather toy I had on it as a keychain, "Here. Try this."

"Oh! This is a great toy! I'll try that!" She took the toy, "I'll tell you how it goes at your house tonight."

"Good luck," I looked at my keys, maybe I'll put a bell on it instead.

I walked into my house, it was cold... My stomach growled as I put my bag down, "I should eat something... maybe..."

I looked in my fridge, I still had all the stuff Tobias got me, "Hmm... maybe?"

I held the apple he got me and ate that for now. It was still cold... I started my bath and turned on the heater. So warm~ it makes me kinda sleepy...

PoV: Tobias

"You're back again," the girl smiled at me again, "Um..."

"Tobias Miller," I walked over to the kittens.

"Miller! I knew that," she laughed, she looked different today.

"You cut your hair," I hadn't notice her long brown hair was cut to her shoulders.

"You noticed!" She had a bright smile on her face, "My older brother didn't even notice. So, you taking one home yet? They all really like you."

"I can't really afford it yet. But I wasn't thinking about taking one in from the park. There's lots of strays hidden there, but its not the brightest idea since they could be violent at anytime," I answered.

"Really? Well if you ever change your mind just call for me, k?" She left and I put down the kitten when I had my fill. I walked by the cat food section on my way out.

Jingle~ I heard the sound of a cat collar bell hit the floor. One had gotten caught on my jacket and fallen off the shelf.

"My bad," I picked up the bright green collar and looked for other ones like it. I found the row of green ones and set it down in its place. It went right next to a red one. This whole row at the top had several black ones, but only one of them was leather, "This one's pretty cool. I wonder if-" I rubbed my eyes as the image of Bean's cat form appeared in my head, "That would only work if he was in that form forever."

I put it back and left. When I got back it, the sun was almost gone. Bean's lights weren't on... He fell asleep that early?
