Chapter 4: He Will Be A Monk In A Temple

The lights in the bar wildly changed, dazzling the eyes of many people.

Fu Yanzhi sat at the corner of the sofa, and his cold temperament compared to the bar atmosphere, was a hundred and eighty thousand miles apart.

The vigorous dancing onstage and the constant rock music shook people's heads.

He reached up and pressed his forehead and was tempted to leave the scene early.

Seeing him like this, Lin Haoran asked with dissatisfaction, "Dr. Fu, what's the matter with you?"

He teased, "Did coming to a bar make you feel this bad?"

Fu Yanzhi glanced at him coldly and didn't say anything.

Being looked at by him like that, Lin Haoran somehow felt guilty.

He reached out and touched the tip of his nose and tsked, "At any rate, it's my birthday, so why don't you give me some face?"

Fu Yanzhi made a "hmm" sound and didn't answer anymore.

It's Lin Haoran's birthday today, and not too long ago, he was clamoring about being exhausted from work, so he definitely needed a place to relax on his birthday.

Who would have expected that they would end up settling on such an uninspiring place as a bar?

The colleague next to him listened to the conversation and laughed, "Dr. Lin, don't make it difficult for our Dr. Fu."

Lin Haoran raised his eyebrows in dissatisfaction, "How did I make it hard for him?"

On hearing this, the colleague joked: "Just because you come to the bar is already making it difficult for Dr. Fu, compared to the bar, Dr. Fu will definitely prefer to stay home all night reading medical books and also Dr. Fu has said before that he doesn't like drinking alcohol."

Fu Yanzhi raised his eyes and corrected, "Wrong."

The people around turned to look at him at the same time.

He then said indifferently, "I choose to sleep."  

In their profession, they only had a little time to spare and always wanted to scramble for rest and some refreshing, so how could they come here to spend the time?

The others were powerless to argue and had no words to say in return.  

Lin Haoran was different; he had always advocated that he should work and have fun, so he couldn't waste such a good time either to study or sleep.

Thinking about it, he bluntly spat, "No wonder you don't have a girlfriend."

A young girl on one side heard this and retorted, "Dr. Lin, it's not like our Dr. Fu isn't looking for one."

"Yes, yes, yes, you're right. There are many female doctors and nurses in the hospital who are secretly in love with our Dr. Fu, ah."

"Ay~, Dr. Fu do you want me to introduce you ? Which one do you prefer, cute, sexy, pretty, or even a virtuous woman?"

The crowds were asking in all sorts of ways.

Lin Haoran looked at the people who kept blabbering and directly interjected, "Hey hey hey what's going on with you guys, how come you're not introducing me to any of those girls and instead to Dr. Fu!?"

He then mercilessly spat out the words about Fu Yanzhi: "Dr. Fu doesn't have any desire for this side of relationships, so don't make things difficult for him."  

The crowds: "...Why not?"

Lin Haoran and Fu Yanzhi had known each other since college, and understood him relatively well: "From the day I met him, I have never seen his eyes focused on any woman. Except for the patient or their family, I've never seen his eyes set on a woman for more than three seconds."

Looking at the crowds' dumbstruck look, Lin Haoran did not forget to make a final summary: "So ah sisters don't think about it, your Dr. Fu will live with the medical books for the rest of his life, and when he retires, he'll be a monk in a temple."

The crowd: "Just cut it out."

Lin Haoran gaped, then he looked at the group in front of him, "I'll show you the proof if you don't believe me."

"How do you want to do it?"

He thought to himself and said, "Just get the prettiest person in the bar to come out, and you will see whether our Dr. Fu will look at that person for more than three seconds."

The crowd: "..."
