"He's a what?!"

Chapter 7

Previously...

Whispering good night to them all, I fell asleep.

{For those of you who skipped the last chapter because of the TWs, the last chapter was basically a flashback of how Sho came out to his friends and family.}

Now...

Oikawa POV

Shoyo fell asleep in all of our arms. I could tell he was exhausted. So could the others.

"I had no idea my baby went through all of that..." A whisper from Karasuno's team mom was heard. The whisper was followed by sniffles and an "I should have known. Why didn't I know?".  Daichi comforted his boyfriend trying to convince him that he couldn't have possibly known when Tobio-chan spoke up from his spot in my best friend's arms. 

"Shoyo never wanted you all to find out like this. He told Yams and Kei the night before we came here. And even then he was hesitant when he knew they would accept him." 

Everyone looked shocked other than the named first years, who just looked sad, obviously because their best friend thought they would judge him. 

"Well, how and when did you find out?" Fukunaga? I think? asked. Receiving confused looks from everyone but Tobio-chan, the libero continued. "I mean, from what you and he told us, he wasn't just letting this slip out without him meaning to. So when did you find out?" At this everyone including me turned to my former kouhai. 

"Oh. He told me. After the match in middle school between our teams, we met during the summer.  We ran into each other in a grocery store and started talking. Before we left the store, we exchanged our numbers and set up a time and place to practice. He invited me to have a sleepover two weeks after that. That was when I met his daughter." Tobio-chan replied.

Everyone just looked at him, all our questions were being slowly answered. The coaches ended up giving a day off to process everything and we all went to our dorms.

Everyone had slowly peeled themself from the embrace at some point and were heading to the dorms. 

"Suga-chan! Do you mind if I follow you guys? Shoyo's asleep and I really don't wanna wake him up." I ask Suga as he's leaving with his team. He smiles slightly and nods. I could tell he was beating himself up for not noticing the signs Shoyo might have displayed and not helping him.

I follow them to their dorm and lay Shoyo down. Just as I'm about to leave, I'm stopped by Suga-chan.

"Look Oikawa-kun, I know you're in love with Shoyo." I looked at him shocked. "Don't worry. I just wanna say that he loves you too. I see how you two look at each other. It's the same way I looked at Daichi for a whole year." He smiled softly, a teasing glint in his eyes. I nodded, my face burning as I felt myself blush. 

"D-Do you think I should ask him out? I-I know you two are really close a-and I just..." I exhaled deeply. I did have a 'Heart-Breaker' reputation but it was only because I was confessed to so many times, I never wanted to hurt any of the people that confessed to me, so I usually ended up accepting the confession and got dumped just as I caught feelings. They always said that it was my fault. Sometimes it was my passion and dedication to volleyball, sometimes it was my 'obsession' with aliens that made me weird. 

"Absolutely! Trust me Oikawa-kun. He'll say yes, he'll be ecstatic you know." Tobio-chan's voice cuts in as Suga-chan is about to speak.

"I don't like you much and that's why Sho never said anything regarding you, but I know him. Often better than he does. I've known him long enough to know he's in love with you. Why? I have no idea and honestly, he can do so much better. Before you ask him, just know Oikawa-san... you will be losing your dick privileges if you hurt him." He continued before turning back to Iwa-chan who just looked shocked at the words from the once tyrant king of the court.
