𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄.

Cassiopeia's favourite thing.

The silence of the world when everything is calm. The calm before the storm. And that's what this was.

Silence.

The silent sun's rays shone through the gap in Cassiopeia's window where her blinds didn't cover.

The almost silent ruffle of Cassiopeia's messy grey sheets, as she turned in her bed, which took up most of her chaotic room.

The silent house of Ted and Andromeda Tonks.

The silent-

"Cass!" Andromeda Tonks called. "Cassiopeia wake up!"

The woman huffed as she got no response from her niece and proceeded with her second option, "Nymphadora," She said, "Go wake up your cousin please."

Tonks sighed at her mother's request but stood up anyway, "Fine." She responded.

No more silence.

Instead just the bangs and creeks of each step that the older metamorphmagus made as she was walked up the wooden stairs of the Tonk's house, up to her cousin's room.

The door opened with a bang, and with that a grunt of annoyance from Cassiopeia's mouth.

"Cass, get up." Nymphadora sighed, hovering over her cousins bed.

"Cassiopeia please" She continued. "It's your first day of Hogwarts Cass."

"What?!"

With the information, she had so clearly forgot, Cassiopeia sprung out of bed and  ran to her conjoined bathroom.

The young girl stared at her messy untamed curls and blessed merlin for giving her the power to tame them. Carefully she focused all her energy on her hair and fixed it.

She then got rid of the prominent bags underneath her grey eyes, that she had oh so luckily inherited from her amazing mass murdering father.

After putting on her black jeans, favourite black jumper and her black untied converse, she didn't make much effort as she new she would be changing later in the day, and adding a bit of mascara to her eyes, she ran down the same stairs her older cousin had come up just moments before.

But, obviously with her luck, she managed to trip on the last step and fall straight onto her back.

"Merlins saggy tits that bloody hurt" Exclaimed Cassiopeia from the wooden floor.

"Oh Cass, are you okay dear?" Rushed a worried Andromeda.

"Yeah just fucking swell aunt Andy" Replied Cassiopeia.

"Language Cassiopeia!" Scolded Ted Tonks as he ate his cereal whilst reading the daily prophet.

"Sorry uncle Ted" Cassiopeia apologised

She then lifted herself off the floor and walked to the kitchen island, frowning and rubbing her back, annoyed that her good mood had been flattened.

"Why aren't you more excited?" Questioned a confused Ted.

"It's you first day of Hogwarts Cassiopeia." Finished Andromeda.

"Hmmm I don't know" Mumbled Cassiopeia, "Maybe because I just fell and broke my bloody back?"

She then collapsed off the kitchen island onto the brown floor, "I'm dying" She exclaimed dramatically while frantically swinging her hands and legs around, "DYING, I TELL YOU, DYING"

"Stop being dramatic Cass" Said a laughing Nymphadora Tonks.

"Me dramatic, Dora i'm the least dramatic person ever." Replied Cassiopeia while she lifted herself off the floor and went to get some cereal.

"Oh of course" Retaliated a sarcastic Nympadora "Because you aren't the girl who almost burned down your grandpas house."

Cassiopeia glared at her older cousin, "That was an accident" She defended.

"Sure." said Ted, or at least that's what it seemed to be as he had his mouth full of cereal and ended up spitting out half of it whilst trying to speak.

"Gross." Squirmed Cassiopeia, "And it was! I didn't mean to almost burn down the hallway, I meant to get the book."

"Well what did you expect." said Andromeda warmly, whilst cleaning up her husbands mess. "It's his book it's going to be protected."

"Why, it's just a stupid book about beasts and stuff?" Asked a confused Cassiopeia, as she gathered her school books from the shelf.

"Like seriously, it's quite boring." She said flipping through the pages of his book, 'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them'.

"I don't know why your complaining." Huffed Nymphadora

"Because I can." Answered Cassiopeia as she finished packing her bag.

"Come on then." Andromeda laughed. "The train isn't going to wait for us."
