Hope's pov
The next day - Sunday
Unfortunately, Hope had to wake up earlier today as the family had a day planned out. You would think with how often Hope had to wake up early for photoshoots and interviews she would be a morning person but, that was certainly not the case. However, she was excited about the day that was planned. They had all decided to go out for breakfast so, Hope had to get dressed but not without texting Josie first.

I won't be able to talk that much today, family day :(
They had all decided to go to this cute, small little cafe for breakfast. They knew the owner quite well as sometimes he would look after Hope when she was younger. That's where Hope got her cooking skills from although, her father would probably deny and say she got them from him. Hope walked downstairs to find everyone waiting for her. Of course, she would be the last one awake. They all said their morning's and left.
Once they arrived, they were seated. The owner, Marcel, came over and greeted them all with a hug. The families relationship with Marcel had been broadcasted across the news once before as a result of his past relationship with Hope's Aunt Rebekah. Their relationship had been complicated and on and off. The last time they dated, Marcel had proposed but received a no. Hope was a bit upset as she adored Marcel.
For breakfast, Hope ordered French Toast with herbal tea. After they had finished eating, they headed off to the park. They walked across the path until they came across boats they could rent. Hope and her mother forced everyone to go on them. Hope and her aunts shared one whilst her parents shared one. They raced which Hope had obviously won. Every so often someone would splash the others which just let to a water war as childish as that sounded. Hope realised how much she was going to miss her family when she went to stay with Josie. She was also going to miss her Aunts as she barely got to see them anymore. Her parents were only staying a week, with her at Mystic Falls, and then they would be travelling to other places.
After they had finished on the boats, they went shopping. She was forced into many boring shops. They eventually reached a vintage shop which had always been one of Hope's favourite. Eventually, she stopped at the sight of a necklace.
As if she could read her thoughts, her Aunt Freya appeared beside her, "It's a talisman, it's to make quiet things heard"
Hope knew she had to give this to Josie. A few weeks prior, Hope had learned that Josie was a quiet person. She would stand in her sister's shadow and never put herself first. She couldn't help but think about how perfect this would be for her and so she bought it.
As Hope and her Aunt Freya left the shop, the rest of them were waiting outside. Everyone noticed what she and Freya had bought and immediately started asking questions. Freya was into knowing about historic stories so was able to tell them all about the meanings behind her necklaces, rings and decorations. Nerd. Hope was a painter and so was more interested in the way things looked.
"So, what did you get, love?" It took a second for Hope to realise that her father was directing the question at her. She held the necklace up and then looked at Freya hoping, she would explain. Freya must have understood the look as she began to explain. As Freya explains the story, Hope pays no attention. She's too busy letting her mind picture Josie wearing the necklace.
After that, they end up going to more shops. Specifically, clothes shopping. Hope wanted to buy a few more outfits for the summertime. They finally entered a clothes shop, Hope's favourite. As they entered, she could hear her mum and Aunts oohing at some clothes and ever so often show Hope something they would think would suit her. There was no chance of Hope taking fashion advice off of them.
Eventually, Hope had her first outfit picked out. She found a red jacket with a black turtle neck and the same shade of red on a skirt. The second outfit, she had a black jacket (which was probably the most common piece of clothing she wears,) a black buttoned top and shiny silver bottoms. She decided, to only buy two as she already had planned out at home ready. They were basic sort of outfits that usually had a black jacket involved. Black was most of the time incorporated into her outfit some way or another.
After she bought her clothes, they left and arrived home. Once Hope had eventually gotten home she decided to text Josie.

I'm back home, want to call?
As she waited for a text back she put her new bought clothes into her wardrobe. She wanted to keep the outfits a surprise. Hope rushed to finish putting her last piece of clothing away as she heard a notification from her phone.

I'm back home, want to call?
yes, of course!!
Hope couldn't help but smile as she saw it and pressed facetime straight away. It had barely been ringing for 2 seconds and already the brunette had answered with the adorable smile on her face.
"Hi"
"Hey, how was your day with your family?" Josie looked genuinely interested and excited to hear about Hope's day.
Hope talked about her day, the boat ride and the shopping. Seeing her old friend Marcel but, she was careful to leave out the tiny details, of how she had bought Josie a present.
They stayed on call for the rest of the night. They watched a film together, by Josie pointing her camera at the films screen. It was a horror film which was only found scary by Josie. In fact, the auburn-haired girl had found it quite humorous especially when the other girl would jump or screech. When Hope would laugh at her, the brunette would pout at her or just tell her to jokingly 'shut up.' Then, Josie had begun reading a book. As they were around three quarters throughout the book, one of Josie's characters that she had a 'fictional crush' on died. Hope was left laughing in tears whilst also trying to stay somewhat sympathetic as she hated that character. The character was a guy named Landon, he was described as a pale guy with dark curly hair, blue eyes and permanent black bags under his eyes. Josie thought he was cute since he was awkward but, Hope thought he was annoying and useless. She liked to refer to him as 'bird boy' which even Josie couldn't help but laugh at. Every time he would show up in the book, Hope couldn't help but cringe or gag.
Soon it was late and Hope had fallen asleep, which was no surprise as she had a long day.
