I saw you standing there,
you made me stop and stare
you just smiled and looked at me with a glare
that I'll never forget.
you touched me and my whole body tingled
as if you were letting off tiny fireworks inside of me,
and all I wished was for us to be free
but that'll never happen,
because you are trapped
and now I've mapped out
everything I could have said but didn't.
your grin lit up the whole room
but no-one else there mattered,
when you walked past me your footsteps pattered
across the light wooden floor.
when you looked at me,
the only thing important to me there and then
were your eyes locked on mine,
oh how you made my eyes glimmer and shine
with the ticket in your hand that you were just about to sign.
you put your slender arms around me
and thanked me for coming,
yet I should have been the one thanking you
for giving me the priveledge of loving.
