confusion & assumption

one day,

something normal to you will occur.

normal to you, but maybe not so normal

to strangers or people that don't know you that well.

you'll say something funny, embarrassing, scary,

do something outrageous, strange, daring,

and people remember that one thing you did

or said on that certain day.

people start to see you that way

and that's what they start to expect from you

and that's who they assume you really are.

time passes,

and you start to morph into their assumptions

and wonder if it's really you when you look in the mirror.

are you the same person you used to be?

has that person been casted off like dead skin?

is that same person still somewhere inside of you

or is it lost forever
