Niall pov

Zayn, Liam and I watched as Louis stormed out of the room after hearing a crash just moments ago. As the door swung shut I caught a glimpse of Harry on the other side of the door. That's when I realised - Harry had just heard Louis confessing his love for him to us guys. I knew that Louis was definitely going to be pissed, confused and scared. I don't think the boys had seen Harry on the other side of the door so I decided to tell them. "Guys Harry had just heard the whole conversation we just had with louis. He was the one who dropped the glass." They both looked worried for Louis. "How do you know that?" a confused looking Zayn asked me. "When Louis left I could see him on the other side when the door opened." They both shook their heads in disbelief. "This isn't good, Louis' not going to be happy." Liam said. Just as I was about to reply, a very depressed looking Harry walked through the door. He stood there frozen for a few seconds before breaking down in a flood of tears, falling to his knees. We all rushed towards him. I wrapped my arms around him giving him a tight hug stroking his hair. "What's wrong, Haz? What happened with Louis?" Through the loud sobs and heavy breathing he spoke, "How do I always manage to mess things up with Louis? We get close then I just go and ruin it all. I hurt him so much you'd think I hated him but it's just because I love him so much." I could tell that he really meant what he had said and was truly sorry for his past actions. "I know Harry, and so does Louis. He knows you never wanted to hurt him. He just needs time to process everything. You know how hard it is for him to express himself. Just give him time alright." I hoped that what I had just done would try and calm him down and I think it did as his breathing had started to be more steady and only a few tears were falling from his eyes. Although his extreme meltdown had stopped he was still in shock and very upset, so I knew we had to be careful with him as he was still fragile. I left Harry on the floor sobbing quietly and made my way over to the boys ushering them over to the other side of the room. I huddled them in so that we were now in a circle, our backs away from the brunette sitting crying on the other side of the room.

"What are we going to do?" Liam asked. "Harry's in a real mess and we haven't even gone to see how Louis is holding up."

"You're right, one of us needs to go check up on Louis. See how he's taking the situation." After a few seconds of silence I realised that neither of them were going to nominate themselves for talking to Louis, which was understandable because let's be honest I'm the best at talking about feelings. "Alright fine I'll do it then." I said. They both nodded understandably. Before I left the room I told the both of them, "Just make sure Harry is okay. Talk to him. I don't know, just make sure he's alright and understand that Louis doesn't hate him." With that I left the room.

I walked out looking for where Louis was sitting. I found him sitting on his own at the same table we had played truth or dare. I sat down opposite him; I didn't ask any questions for a little while so that I didn't come across impatient. After a few moments of awkward silence I decided I should talk to him. "Are you okay Louis? I know it must be tough - Harry finding out your secret, but you should talk to him. He's in a right mess because he thinks you hate him. He is really sorry. He just wants to talk to you."

"I just don't know if I can face him without being utterly embarrassed and ashamed. I know I shouldn't feel bad, but I lied to him. I told him we couldn't be more than friends and that I don't want to be more than friends. But now that he knows, I feel like i've led him on."

"But Louis, how have you led him on if you love him as well?" I asked

"Because I'm not sure if I actually want a relationship with him, but now he knows I feel like I have to be in a relationship with him. I don't want him to assume things."

I replied " I get it Louis. I think you just have to talk to him to explain that there are still boundaries, and you're not ready for a relationship just yet - that you need to work out whatever 'this' is, together." Louis thought about what I had just said then agreed with a simple nod of the head.

"Do you want me to ask Harry to come out to talk to you?" I asked him

"Yeah if you could." Louis said. I nodded and got up out of the seat and made my way towards the bathroom. "Oh and Niall thank you for the help. You always know what to do." I smiled and nodded walking back into the bathroom.

When I arrived in the bathroom Harry was no longer crying on the floor, instead he was leaning against the sink staring at his shoes and Zayn and Liam were sat next to each other both staring at the ground. The mood was overall a bit depressing and I could tell that everyone needed a bit of Niall banter to bring the mood up. But first I needed to get Harry to talk to Louis.

"Harry. Louis wants to talk to you." I stated simply.

"What's the point anymore? He hates me, I'll just end up getting shouted at." he mumbled

"Jesus Harry, your life's not that bad. He just wants to talk about the whole situation. He doesn't hate you Harry. I thought you hear him earlier? He for sure doesn't hate you. You need to get that in your head." I said with a smirk.

"Fine" he said and slowly made his way out of the door.

Once he'd left the room I turned to the other two. "What should we do now that Mr Grumpy has left?" They both shrugged unhelpfully. I was starting to get annoyed about how easily the Harry and Louis drama had completely brought the mood down. They were constantly on and off. Of course I hadn't expected this to be easy, but it completely changed the atmosphere between all of us every time they did. It sounds selfish but, you know, I had been hoping that being here with all the boys, even though it was accidental, would help us to bond a bit. We hadn't all properly been together in what like 5 years? It was just nice to be all together again, this was just putting a bit of a damper on our night.

I was still thinking about what we could do. "I know," I said, "we should watch some old funny One Direction compilations! The fans made thousands of those. That should get the mood up." They both nodded in agreement, clearly not really caring or in the mood. Damn, Louis and Harry really know how to ruin a fun night. I sighed and unlocked my phone whilst sitting next to Liam. I opened up YouTube and searched up 'funny one direction videos' straight away videos appeared on my screen. I pressed on one named 'One Direction on crack'. The thumbnail was a blurry picture of me falling over. "This should be funny." I cheerfully said they both mumbled something along the lines of yes. The video started and within seconds all the funny memories started flooded back and I was laughing at stupid things we'd all done in the band. I could tell the others were enjoying themselves as well because smiles were appearing on their faces and Liam had let out a small laugh at one point. We watched the whole video and by the end we had all cheered up a bit. I was glad that I had managed to bring the mood up and help turn this night around.
