Chapter 1

Harry pov

It had been a rough week and all I could think about was that in just a few days i'd be able to see my mum and sister for christmas; but first i needed a drink. As I opened the door to a very empty pub I could only see a few people dotted around. I walked up to the bar but just as I sat down I heard a very familiar loud irish laugh. My headshot round and I saw Niall, sat next to him was a short brown haired boy whose eyes I knew only too well. It was Louis.

Louis pov

I'd agreed to meet Niall when I found out he was in town, I also needed the company to be honest. I knew this Christmas was going to be a lonely and Niall was always fun to be around. I hadn't seen any of the boys for a long while; Niall was the only one that knew about mine and Harry's break up.
We were sitting down in a small booth in an almost empty pub. Niall was talking to me about something but to be honest I had sort of zoned out of the conversation. A cold draft of winter air filled the room as a tall dark haired man walked through the doors. He sat down slowly at the bar then turned his head. His enchanting green eyes locked with mine and at that moment i knew exactly who i was facing. It was Harry.

Zayn pov

I kissed Gigi and baby Olympia goodbye as I made my way towards the waiting taxi. I hadn't been able to have any free time since Gigi had given birth to our beautiful daughter - I was always either at the studio recording new tracks, or changing nappies at home. But tonight Gigi had agreed to take care of Olympia and give me a free night to myself. I knew a small pub across town and I was looking forward to having a beer, some time to myself and watching whatever sport that happened to be on tv.

Niall pov

I stopped laughing at my own joke realising that Louis wasn't paying much attention to me instead he sat there frozen eyes locked with a man sat at the bar. I looked close at who Louis was staring. "Haz is that you buddy?" I said getting up out of my seat. The man averted his eyes towards me and nodded, I turned towards Louis only to see hurt spread across his face. I knew their breakup hadn't gone well and that Harry had left Louis with no real explanation. I moved my head to indicate to Louis to come over with me to say hi to Harry but he just shook his head and looked down at his hands. I let Louis be as I knew that just seeing Harry again was making him feel very uncomfortable. I walked over to Harry and plonked myself on the stall next to him. I looked up at him and I could see that he felt hurt at the fact Louis didn't even want to say hi to him.

Harry pov

I locked eyes with Louis and we just stayed there frozen. I tried to pull away from his gaze but I couldn't lose those deep blue eyes again, I had to make up for the time I had lost after I stupidly broke up with him. I knew I'd hurt him. Nobody deserves to be broken up with like that, especially louis. Niall must've noticed that Louis wasn't paying attention to him. I watched as he followed Louis' gaze until his eyes landed on me. He slowly got out of his seat and said "Haz is that you buddy" I averted my eyes from louis gaze and looked up towards Niall and nodded. Niall sat down on the stool next to me after giving louis a few glances. I waited for Louis to come sit with us, but he didn't; he just stayed in his seat. All I wanted to do was apologize to him. I needed to apologize to him.

Liams pov

I was driving back from recording my new song naughty list when my car started making weird noises. The car started filling up with the smell of gasoline, I slowly pulled into a nearby layby and got out. I knew i wouldn't be able to drive home safely with the condition my car was in, so I decided to try and look for a place that I could stay for a while. I walked down the street until i found a quietish looking pub, opened the door and was welcomed with a blast of beer-smelling warm air. I made my way over to the bar and sat down. I looked up after I heard a deep british voice call out my name, I turned my head to the left and saw two very familiar faces. I couldn't believe it. I hadn't seen the boys in over a year and here we were in the same pub. I moved seats and sat next to both of them and they greeted me with warm smiles. I said hi to both of them but I could tell that something had happened because Harry didn't seem his usual charming self, i wasn't sure what had happened until i saw his eyes drift towards a booth with a lonely stranger in. I turned to Niall and mouthed to him "who's that?" whilst pointing to the booth. "Oh," he said "sorry i forgot to mention, Louis here as well." Louis' head turned around as he heard his name. He saw my face and smiled. He began to make his way towards where we were sitting, avoiding any eye contact with Harry. I had heard about Harry and Louis break up from Roman but I hadn't talked to either of them about it directly. From what I had heard it hadn't ended well. Louis sat down next to me and we greeted each other then I ordered a drink and we ended up sitting there in a comfortable silence.
