Hi!!
Hehe! I am obsessed with Tobias! I practically screamed and did a leprechaun dance when I got a fortune cookie and guess what my lucky number was... FOUR!!! I literally taped it to my mirror. The same thing with playing cards with my family. Sorry about the rant... I had to get it out. Anyways... Back to the story. Does anyone think this story is ok? Let me know. Thnx!!

Today is the choosing ceremony. I still haven't decided my choice. I bet most haven't. My parents are in a really great mood today. They must think I'm going to stay Candor. After all, I have been under truth serum so many times now, and always tell the same thing. Why wouldn't I? But they are WRONG.

We walk through the doors and enter the elevator. I see Abnegation walking up the steps. I could never be like them. We finally reach the top. The doors open to the auditorium.

There are five bowls up on stage. Stones for Abnegation, earth for Amity, glass for Candor, coal for Dauntless, and water for Erudite.

" See you soon Rose." My mother says extremely confident and smiles as she gives me a hug and follows my father to find seats.

" Bye Rose." Peter startles me from behind. I jump. How does he know I won't choose Candor? He knows me TOO well.

I debate what to say. What comes out, is truth. " Bye Peter."

" I won't miss you." He snickers.

" Neither will I."

This shuts him up. He walks to his seat.

I turn and see... Oh no.

Standing side turned to me is Adam. My heart might burst out of my chest. Adam. Adam! After all these years.

( Flashback. I can't find out how to do italics soooo yeah.)

We sit together at the nook he introduced me to. We met every Friday and Saturday .night. My head lay on his shoulder, his brown eyes gazing at the sunset. We always talked about our future together. It was one of those general things. We talked about how many children we wanted, and so on. Never once was marriage brought up. We were only 14. It wasn't awkward though, we never even kissed. We just enjoyed each other's company.

One night, we got into this huge fight about something really stupid. To be honest, which I never am, I can't remember what it was. Now that I think of it, it probably had something to do with honesty. I said some things I regret, and I think he did to. But it wasn't the kind of thing we just made up on. I tried to try once, but I practically had to bolt out of the room because I started to choke on my words and I didn't want to look weak.

I haven't spoken a word to Adam since.

( end of flashback)

It's like seeing a ghost.

He has matured a bit. He's taller. He still has his blond curls and the same warm brown eyes that used to melt me to the core.

But the only thing that has really changed-

Is his smile.

The one thing everyone could identify him with. His smile that could be mischievous, caring, excited, and amused all at once. The smile that every time you'd see him, he'd flash. It now shows signs of strain. Guilt. And most of all, or at least what I hoped-

Regret.

Suddenly, he turns his head, and our eyes meet.

I freeze.

His eyes almost seem to light up for a second, but then return to this state of disappointment. And what I least expect happens-

He walks over to me.
