Scooby-Doo! I Choose You: Hassle in The Castle

Chapter 3

Once getting to the catacombs door, Fred held up the key and saw that it matched the keyhole perfectly.

"This is the place." Fred stated, putting the key into the keyhole

Fred turns the key and slowly opens the door. The catacombs had lots of stuff in it, but of course, there were cobwebs as well as the rest of the stuff there.

"Okay, Scooby, go in and take a look around." Fred ordered. "We'll keep watch out here."

"RYou're kidding!!!" Scooby comments

"No, i'm not kidding." Fred says

Scooby then proceeds to pretend he's wounded, whimpering, falling to the ground, the whole nine yards.

"There he goes again with his fake wounded routine." Daphne comments

"What a ham." Velma states

Scooby then pretends to painfully whimper some more.

"Would you do it for a Scooby Snack?" Fred asks

"RNuh-uh." Scooby replied

"How about two?" Fred says

Scooby thought for a second before saying, "RThree?"

"Okay, three." Fred comments

Fred pulls out three Scooby Snacks, Nanab Berry flavored ones specifically and tossed them to Scooby. Scooby ate them right out of the air.

"RScooby-Doo!!" Scooby cheered

Scooby then ran into the room. He sniffed around and looks around, seeing if he can find anything. He walked over to a hat with a wand next to it.

Not seeing anything to really do, he reached into the hat and pulls out.....a bunny. Confused, he stuffs the bunny back into the hat and gets extremely confused when having seen the bunny was completely gone.

He grabs the wand and tapped the hat a couple times and flowers poked out. He squinted a little before the flowers squirted water right into his eye. His instinctual reaction was to shock the flowers which made them retreat into the hat. Scooby looked around again, not seeing anything that is a real danger to them and shrugged.

Scooby whistles out to the others.

"Scooby says it's okay." Daphne comments

Fred, Velma, Daphne, and Shaggy walk into the room and look around as they walk over to Scooby. There was stuff from a magic show everywhere.

"Man, look at all that crazy magic stuff. A 'saw-em-in-two' box, disappearing cabinets, levitating tables." Shaggy says. "Gosh."

"But what's all this magic stuff doing here?" Daphne asks, looking around

Velma thought for a second and said, "I think i'm beginning to figure it out."

There was then a thumping noise heard. And it was getting louder.

"Shh...somebody's coming!" Fred says. "Quick, into the closet! Hurry!"

The gang then booked it into the nearby large walk-in closet, the door slamming shut behind them. The thumping noise had stopped.

"Well, whoever it was, must've gone away." Fred commented

The Phantom's cackle was heard echoing before Daphne gasped and pointed.

"Look!" Daphne points out, everyone looking over. "The Phantom!"

"I warned you to leave the island. Now you will pay!!" The Phantom boomed

"I'll pay. I'll pay." Shaggy states, pulling out a couple of coins. "How about four bits?"

The Phantom began cackling again as Fred says, "He doesn't mean that kind of pay, let's get out of here!!"

"SCOOBY USE TACKLE ON THE DOOR!!!" Shaggy yelped

Scooby quickly used Tackle which busted the door down and they all booked it out of the closet. Shaggy ran into one of the disappearing cabinets, Velma ran into the other one, both shutting after being entered. The Phantom kept on cackling as it phased into the one Shaggy went in.

Velma then ran out of the one she went in and the other one opened, revealing somehow that Scooby was in it. Even Scooby was confused but when hearing Shaggy grunt, he gulped.

"HELP!!!! HELP!!!!" Shaggy calls out, trapped in the saw-in-two box as the saw began going through

"Shaggy!!" Velma yelped

"HELP!!!" Shaggy called out again

Velma covered her eyes as the box was cut in clean half, the half with Shaggy's legs walking off as his head fell over, being a fake.

"Hey, this is just a dummy head." Velma states

Shaggy had somehow managed to trick the Phantom and escape death. Meanwhile, the box half with the legs came to a stop and Shaggy pops out.

"Someone mention me?" Shaggy comments

Meanwhile, Fred, Daphne, and Scooby were running from the Phantom elsewhere in the castle. After Fred and Daphne lost track of Scooby, they came to a stop at a carpet rolled up on a counter.

"Hey look!" Fred says

"A magic carpet!" Daphne adds

The two quickly grab the carpet and rolled it out, both getting onto the carpet.

"Hope this trick works." Fred says. "Ali go op."

And wouldn't ya know it? It worked. The magic carpet rose into the air and began flying, Scooby having to chase after on foot.

"RWait for me!!!" Scooby calls out

Scooby jumped up and tried to get onto the carpet, only to find himself hanging onto the corner. Within seconds, they had crashed, the carpet on Scooby and he blindly ran into a nearby room.

When Fred and Daphne opened the room after Scooby banged on the door a few times, something they saw other than Scooby made them go wide eyed and shut the door again, running off.

"RHuh??" Scooby questions

It wouldn't take him long to find out what had scared off Fred and Daphne. It was when he heard the cackle of the Phantom again that he realized. He was in the room with him!

Scooby goes wide eyed when seeing the Phantom heading right for him so naturally, he ran, this time busting a hole in the door shaped like him.
