On an abandoned island of which a castle was located, everything was dark. The castle itself was abandoned by all living creatures, even the Pokemon on the island didn't dare enter the castle. Why? Because the one thing in the castle was a ghostly phantom. Watching. Searching. The ghost retreated into the castle after seeing a boat heading towards the island.
On the boat was Mystery Inc. They had gotten lost in the fog.
"You sure picked a spooky day to go boating, Freddy." Daphne commented
"Well, it didn't start out that way." Fred responded. "What could have happened??"
It's very simple." Velma stated. "When the barometric pressure dropped and the warm offshore air came into contact with an inland cold front, we ran into some unnavigable 'nubulation'."
"You're right Velma," Fred states, not fully understanding what Velma just said. "Whatever you said."
"I said, we're lost in a fog." Velma simplified
Shaggy poked his head out from a lower section of the boat and asked, "You buzzed?"
"No, Shaggy, go back to sleep." Velma stated
"Sleep nothing." Shaggy quickly responds. "I'm fixing me a super-Shaggy sandwich."
Shaggy then went back into the lower area he was in of the boat. Once making his sandwich, he smiled.
"Wow, my favorite." Shaggy comments, not noticing Scooby watching. "A double triple-decker Nanab berry and marshallow-fudge sandwich." he added. "Open the mouth, between the gums, look out stomach, here it comes."
When Shaggy went in to eat the sandwich, Scooby quickly swooped in and at the sandwich, leaving only the olive and Shaggy getting confused but quickly realizing what happened.
"Well, at least you left me the olive." Shaggy comments, looking at the olive
Before Shaggy could eat the olive, Scooby ducked in and ate it as well.
"With him around, I can't even get a bite in edgewise" Shaggy stated, completely confused
The boat then crashed onto the island, the gang now stranded.
"Now what happened??!???" Daphne asked
"Looks like we've run aground." Fred state as Shaggy climbed to the main area of the boat
"Yeah, but, like, where??" Shaggy asked
Velma looks at the island and goes wide eyed when spotting the castle on the island as she says, "Well, if i'm not mistaken, it looks like we're stuck on Haunted Isle."
"I'm sorry I asked." Shaggy responds
"The old Vazquez Castle is on this island, maybe we can find help there." Fred stated
Later, on the island, they were heading to the castle. The whole place was giving off a creepy vibe.
"This sure is a creepy place." Daphne comments
"Yeah, a regular gruesome camp." Shaggy added
Scooby was sniffing the ground, hoping to find some sort of trail that might help them get assistance to get off the island. His nose however led him to some sort of torn paper.
The paper moved a little, confusing Scooby. However, it then started moving away.
"Rikes!!" Scooby yelped
Scooby carefully walked over to a rock formation. When the paper stopped, Scooby lifted up the paper, revealing it was stuck on a Clauncher. Scooby chuckled a little. But that alone caused the Clauncher to grab Scooby on the nose with it's pincer.
"Reow!!!" Scooby yelped
When Scooby got his nose unstuck from the Clauncher's pincers and avoided his paws from getting grabbed as well, he had put the paper in his mouth and took off running back to the others.
"Hey, what's with Scooby-Doo??!???" Shaggy questioned
Scooby tried to stop himself, coming to a sliding stop. When he did stop, however, Fred, Velma, Daphne, and Shaggy were covered head to toe in sand. Sso, he brushed the sand off of Fred's face.
"Hey, if you wanna play in the sand, Scooby, leave us out of it, huh?" Fred said as they all got the sand off
Scooby tried to say something, but his mouth was muffled by the paper. So, Fred grabbed the paper and looked at it.
"Hey, what's this?" Fred asked, looking at the paper and seeing that it was a torn off piece of a map. "It's a torn piece of map."
When Fred got the torn map piece straightened, Scooby saw the message on the back which read, "DANGER! Leave Haunted Isle!"
"RD-A-N-G-E-R. RDanger?!???" Scooby exclaiemd, grabbing the paper
"Hey!!" Fred exclaimed, surprised
Scooby then put it back in the other way around so the others could see the message.
"Look, it's, like, a message." Shaggy pointed out
"It says....'Danger! Leave Haunted Isle!'." Fred read
"It sure looks like someone's trying to scare us off this island." Velma stated
"But who?? And why??" Daphne asked
"I don't know, gang, but it looks like we've found ourselves a mystery." Fred stated. "And maybe we'll find the answer at that old pirate castle. Come on, let's go!"
Scooby gulped and said, "ROh boy..."
While walking towards the castle, none of the group noticed that the ghost that was in the castle was watching them quietly from behind a rock. When getting up to the castle, Fred opened the front gates of the castle.
"Well, here it is." Fred states. "Old Vazquez Castle."
The gang then walked into the castle.
"Man, what a pad for a scare-in." Shaggy stated
While walking, the group came to a room that had more cobwebs than the rest of what they've seen in the place so far.
"The place looks deserted." Velma states
Fred pointed over to a painting of an old pirate and said, "Look, that's Vazquez the Pirate. He sailed the seas in 1612."
"He must've used this old castle as a hideout." Daphne comments as they walked further into the castle
"Come on, let's take a look around." Fred says as the walked
What none of the group noticed was the ghost that was haunting this castle was following them, watching.
"Man! Like, plenty spooky." Shaggy comments after hearing a scary noise further in the castle
Scooby then starts whistling to pass the time, actually scared.
"I once read these old castles were loaded with traps." Velma stated
"Oh, Velma. Don't be silly. That only happens in movi-!!!" Daphne started before she fell through a trapdoor
"Daphne!! Daphne!!!" Velma called out as the trapdoor shut
"W-W-W-What happened??" Fred asked with a stutter
"Daphne fell through a trapdoor!" Velma answered
Just then, a loud and ghostly cackle echoed all throughout the castle.
"Zoinks!!" Shaggy yelled
"Reow!!!!" Scooby yelped
The longer the cackle went on, thef aster the group tried to run. Eventually, Velma somehow managed to pick up Fred, Shaggy, and Scooby, and booked it into another room, the door slamming shut behind her as the cackle finally ended.
