WHEN I WOKE UP THE NEXT DAY, I rushed to get ready. Putting on my light pink kimono* while tying my white and red checkered obi* around my waist, I grabbed my black haori* and quickly threw it around myself before taking my notebook from the table. I then put on my shoes and left the apartment.
I was excited, to say the least. I wanted to make new friends and become a worthy shinobi, which all started at the academy. I was lost in my thoughts before I froze, realizing something,
'Wait... do I even know where I'm going?' I thought, sweatdropping at myself 'Maybe I can ask someone'
I turned around and looked around hoping to find someone who could tell me where the academy was before my eyes stopped on a crowd not too far away
'What's going on over there?' I thought as I walked towards the commotion. When I got there, I saw a boy with yellow spiky hair on the ground and a man with brown hair and a mustache looking down at him with malice, disgust, and fear?
"Hey what's the big idea, buddy?!" The boy yelled
"I don't want you here! You're nothing but a pest!" Screamed the older man, before grabbing a mask from the rack and raising his arm to throw it. The latter closing his eyes instinctively, but before the man could do anything to the poor kid, I ran in between the two holding his arm in place.
He froze and I could hear several gasps, but I paid no mind to them as I was too busy trying to restrain myself from snapping his arm.
"W-What are you doing? Why are you protecting it! Do you even know what-" I cut him off by staring at him with a menacing glare, leaking some of my killing intent.

"F-Fine! Whatever! Take the stupid mask and go, alright?! Now let me go!" He stuttered, not meeting my gaze.
I hummed in content as I removed my hand from his arm and turned to the boy behind me. I looked at him with a solemn expression and he flinched, looking away. I felt my heart clench a bit 'I didn't want him to fear me...' I thought with sad eyes, before tapping him on the shoulder. He turned to look at me and I gave him a closed eye smile to show that I wasn't an enemy. His eyes widened before asking a question that broke my heart,
