The long walk home was frustrating, how worse could it get? Just then, rain pouring, you sighed and you didn't have a umbrella to make things even worse! If Richtofen was here, he'd no doubt give you his jacket and walk in the rain while you held it over head. But you would never do that. Instead, you'd both walk in the rain together, but this type of rain was sad...lonely.

You walked home, soaked with your clothes sticking to your skin slightly showing off your curves. You stepped onto your porch and took off your shoes before entering, you just wanted to lay down and go into a coma for months so you'd never have to see your boss or your shitty co workers again.

Before you even hit the couch, you didn't want to get the place wet and dirty so you decided to go take a shower.

The thought of Richtofen always came back, it hit you harder than anything. Why did everyone have to turn their back on Richtofen when he needed us the most? You would have gladly stayed behind with Richtofen down at Alcatraz, but you couldn't. It was Dempsey who stopped you, you all knew he wasn't going to make it but you wanted to try.

The warm water mixed with your tears and you cried harder. Instead of actually washing up, you rinsed off. Stepping out the shower you wrapped a towel around yourself and head for your closet. As the closet doors slid open you rummaged around looking for something comfortable to wear.

There it was.

That piece of clothing that brought back so many memories.

You gently grabbed it and held it closer. The soft material rubbing between your fingers set you off as you remembered Richtofen was the one who got it for you. Maroon was always his favorite, no idea why, he never told you. You pulled it off the hanger and hesitantly put it on, thinking to yourself if it was a good idea because it meant so much to you. You turned and look at yourself in the mirror. The maroon dress trained down past your feet and dragged a few inches on the floor. You turned and little and looked in the mirror as you seen Richtofen's name embroidered on the side with gold in cursive. Reading the name over and over made you smile. You turned to your other hip and seen 'Liebe' with a little heart. You swallowed hard and tried to get rid of the lump feeling in your throat.

He always loved seeing you in the dress. There was always a complement thrown your way when ever he seen you wear it. Though you were cautious about wearing it out the dinners with him because of the eyes it caught. He always ended up having you clean his knuckles back at home. When you asked why he did it, he always told you that they were looking at something far more valuable then them. Those complements. Oh how you'd kill the have another one of those from him.

You walked down stairs as you felt the dress fall every step you took, and the small gust of wind blow against your legs. You scanned the room and seen his ring. You planned the both get married and live together, but it was never meant to be. You picked it up and looked at it, the black band with a red line in the middle that wrapped around. Your name inside the ring was cursive in gold, as he always told you, "you're so much more than gold, but maybe you shine to bright, you don't have your own color. So I got you the highest there was"

You placed yourself on the couch and laid down. Those night where his insomnia was acting up, you'd lay down while he laid on top. Those restless nights when you were there right beside him. You held the ring and continued to think about the past. So many memories yet so little time.

You felt your hair pushed beside your ear and thought to yourself as you wondered if you left the window open. "Liebe?" your eyes fluttered open. There he was. Standing there as if he never went.

"Richtofen?- Ed?" You fixed your words and found yourself staring at his bright blue eyes. "Im here" he smiled and he admired you with that smile of his that you always fell in love with. You touched his collar then his cheek. He sighed as he leaned into your touch, eyes closed and taking in as much as he could. He met your tearful gaze and wiped the water off your cheeks that made their way down.
