The elevator bell dinged sounding through the bullpen. Anthony Dinozzo walks out with a smirk playing across his face the usual look he wore when he had an eventful night. One he liked to share in detail with his colleagues.

Ziva David was sitting at her desk working on some paper work from the last case, not daring to pay attention to the teams resident playboy. Timothy McGee, the teams most punctual agent, hadn't showed up yet which wasn't going to end well with Leroy Jethro Gibbs, NCIS's RRT's leader.

"Where is McGee?" Tony asked, placing his go bag behind his desk, glancing up at Ziva.

"I don't know," Ziva muttered, slamming her hand against the side of her computer in annoyance.

"Gibbs isn't going to like this." Muttered Tony as he sat down at his desk.

"Not going to like what Dinozzo?" Gibbs asks walking up into the bullpen startling Tony. No matter how many times he did it, Tony was still startled when his boss randomly decided to pop up.

"That we have two dead bodies. " Ziva says butting in to save her friend, "Maybe a third. We don't now yet." She muttered walking over towards Anthony's desk.

"A third what?" asks McGee, walking in with a muffin in hand.

"A third body McLate" Tony teased, snatching the muffin from the computer nerd who glared at him snatching half of it back.

"What do you mean a maybe third?" Gibbs asked annoyed, glancing up from his computer he was leaning over towards Ziva. "Is there a third or not?"

"Well I said we don't know. We don't. A women called it in. Her husband, a navy officer and their son are dead on the living room floor. Two GSW's in each." said Ziva grabbing her go bag when Gibbs started walking away towards the elevator, the other agents following.

As the team got to the crime seen Gibbs cringed slightly at the familiar face he saw as soon as he opened his doors

His ex-wife.

4th one to be exact.

"Isn't that number four?" Ziva asked, pulling on her gloves.

"Yes it is" McGee muttered, following her into the house.

"This is going to be fun." Anthony commented, smirking.

Gibbs walks up to the tall, slim, red head. "What happened?"

"Gee I don't know, I come home from work and find my husband and step son dead in the floor. Anything else you want to know or are you going to do your job?" She seethed, annoyed.

Gibbs gave her a look, one that reminded her of her daughter, "Oh and my daughter is at work. This is great, she's gonna come home and I'll have to tell her what happened over a cup of fucking tea." She said sarcastically, holding back the tears.

"We're is she? Can I talk to her?"  Gibbs asked, glancing up at his ex.

The team watched the scene in front of them with interest. They wanted to watch it play out.

And then the FBI showed up.

"Why is the FBI here" Ziva asked, turning to Tony.

"Maybe because one of the victims is a civilian." Tony mumbled, watching as a tall slim blue eyed red head exited the FBI issued SUV. The sun shined brightly against her hair and he noted the silver highlights as she started jogging towards the house, confusion clear on her face.

"Mom?" she shouts, startling everyone who didn't see her coming, "What happened? I'm sorry I'm late for lunch I had to pull a all nighter. We got the guy." The team watched her. She was the daughter. The daughter was FBI. The daughter looked familiar.

The woman turns around after staring at the bodies, the blood or the fact they were related to her didn't seem to effect her at all as she nodded towards the NCIS agents, "Laylona Flynn FBI." She spoke clearly, holding up her badge.

She eyes the agents with an emotionless face, "Now let me see Gibbs the ex, Ziva the assassin, Tony the sex addict, and McGee the computer geek?" Layla smirks ever so slightly at there reaction towards her knowledge on them.

"And your Laylona, the FBI agent?" Tony half asks half tells, smiling as he checks her out, his eyes roaming her figure.

"So not you type and most call me Layla." She said with a barely there smile before turning towards Gibbs.

She shook her head slightly, "I don't see the resemblance. If DNA didn't say you were bio dad I wouldn't have thought we were related." Layla said offhandedly, turning around walking towards the house the bodies in the living room.

"Come on daddy let's get to work" Layla muttered sarcastically, the shock and confusion of her words leaving the room in a frozen like state.
