18. Heart To Heart

Surprise!!! Double update 

     Jaggu took a deep breath to tell her past. She knew Maddy deserved to know after what all he did. 

Jaggu: I know you want to know about the Arman.

Maddy: If you are comfortable. If you feel ok. Only then share it with me.

     Jaggu smiled at the man in front of her. She made only a few friends but never came across such a gentleman

Jaggu: My parents had a love marriage, I would say intercaste marriage. I don't know their love story but both families were against it so my parents lived separately in another town.

My father was a Muslim and my mother was Hindu, Brahmin. She was vegetarian. When I was born till three years we lived happily. There was not even a single fight. Yeah, there was a financial problem but both worked it out.

The storm came in the form of my father's father. He told us that he was sorry and asked our family to shift to their house. My parents were ecstatic and even I was happy. 

Then the fights started every day. It was all small fights which would lead to big. Mom being veg and my dad wanted my mom to convert to the Muslim religion, everything. In all this, my dad's parents were happy seeing the fights.

Finally, my mother decided to go with everything, every problem but she didn't want to convert to the Muslim religion. That was the horrid times. My dad married another girl even being married to my mother.

When my mother questioned he told he can have 4 wives. At the same time, my mother got to know that she was pregnant. She cried day and night but finally accepted her fate as she couldn't support 2 babies and herself.

At the time of childbirth, there was a huge complication. The doctor gave an option to save either the baby or the mother. I never thought I would hate my father so much but he told to save the baby.

I knew to save my mother I had to do something. Mom had given me the number of her mother and I called taking the help of one of the nurse.

My granny along with grandpa came and told that they have to save my mother else they will put cases. My father's family were shaken from the news so they finally told to save my mother.

My mother was saved and the fight began. Many relatives blamed my mother not taking care of the baby and some supported my mother.

My mother had enough of all this so she decided to divorce my father. After we were living in granny's house but my mother had changed. She started hitting me without any reason. A small mistake would lead me to have a bruised cheek.

My granny sent my mother to Banglore for further studies. There she found a guy and married again. Last I heard about her was she had a child with him and also she had 2 stepdaughters.

In all this, I thought once Arman will be born then every problem will get solved. My parents will return back to normal even my father's parents may accept my mother but now I think about it I feel fairytale doesn't happen every time.

Maddy: You are very strong Jaggu. I am proud to say that you are my friend.

    That one sentence made Jaggu's day. She smiled wholeheartedly with the pride. For the first time, someone didn't pity or sympathize her.

Maddy: Are you feeling better? Shall we go home? Everyone might be waiting for us.

   Jaggu nodded with a smile paying to the owner they were going back to the house.

Aliya: For the sake of god! Will you all keep quiet. Priya aunty is sleeping and if she wakes up with your Hungama then I swear I will not stop her from preparing karela, methi juice.

    Every guy in the house gulped at the new form of Aliya. They never thought the sweet, cute Aliya could threaten them with so much horrible thing.

Mukti: Hey guys!

All: Hi!

Mukti: Today we all are going to Dominos!

All: Yayyyy

Aliya: Shhhhhh

   Everyone got to know and went with Mukti for Dominos. Aliya sat back to clean the house. Now she could understand why Riu's figure was size zero even after eating like an elephant.

   Even she thought of her appetite which has increased now. 

Priya: Beta, where is everyone? Why are you doing it alone? Wait I will call Sachiv.

Aliya: No Aunty, They all went to have pizza with Mukti.

Priya: Even you could have gone beta. It's Diwali, our locality might behave like old age but others involve everyone and celebrate.

   Aliya laughed at Priya's statement. Priya always cared about Mukti and Aliya. Even though she was strict. She even changed Aliya's wardrobe with a few long clothes but it was nothing but care.

    Priya held the chairs on her way to sit on the sofa cum chairs which was specially ordered for her. Her stomach was bulging day by day. The doctor has confirmed it to be twins again. Priya was tired of the number of times she went into labour.

    Only if her grandmother didn't make the demand. She huffed at the thought. She saw the hall which was almost clean now. How she wished to have girls rather than boys. She was not complaining but handling Ritu was 100 times easier than all her children.

    Her daughter was a great help in every pregnancy. She just wished to have a daughter in the current pregnancy as she was tired of boys now.

Aliya: Aunty your ayurvedic medicine.

     Priya made a face at Khada but finally drank it.

Priya: Aliya I know I am just an outsider but do you have a problem. Is it a boy? 

    Aliya stilled at her question 'you cannot hide anything from a mother' the phrase was so true. 

Priya: Beta, if you feel like sharing you can share anytime.

Aliya: Thank you, Aunty. 

   Aliya sighed thinking about Druv. She had messaged him asking about his well being, Diwali wishes but there was no reply. Now she was losing hope. She felt like losing a part of her which she never felt for Manik.
