I am a pastor’s daughter.
Yes, you read that right. I am currently nineteen years old.
I grew up in a family with a very extravagant love for God.
I grew up to the songs of famous Christian artists.
I grew up in Sunday school.
I grew up holding a microphone and singing “Through it all” in front of people at church.
I also have typical daily routines. I get up every morning wishing I could stay in bed all day. I have breakfast while my mom fixes my sister’s things for school and my dad’s quietly asleep. I go to school every day. I have a group of friends there. I talk, study, and even fall asleep in class sometimes. I go home before curfew.
I sleep late.
I go to church on Sundays with my family.
My family loves me.
I have Jesus in my life. It seems perfect, right? It could be.
But hey, nothing’s perfect here on earth. Nothing will ever be.
