"Char!" Amber shrieked from across the room, "Wake up!"

I rolled my eyes as I closed the textbook I was reading, "I've been up longer than you."

"Becca! Georgie! Wake up!" she yelled.

"Mudblood, stab her with the knife I got you,"
Georgina called from her bed.

"Why do you always wake us up?" Rebecca groaned, sitting up in bed.

"TODAY IS THE FIRST QUIDDITCH MATCH!" Amber roared excitedly.

"Fine, I'll do it myself," Georgina muttered, pulling out the set of knives she kept on her nightstand.

"Georgina, no," I rolled my eyes, standing up to take her knives away from her.

"I have to shower! Adrian Pucey is on the team!" Rebecca squealed, leaving the room.

Amber held up multiple large signs, "I made these for today."

I looked at the one she was holding up, it read, Slytherin to the goal!!

"Wow," I raised my eyebrows, "Nice."

"Do you even know how Quidditch works?" Georgina sneered, rolling over on her side and closing her eyes.

"Of course," Amber said uncertainly, "Char, do you wanna borrow one of my signs?"

"Sure," I grinned.

"Oh," Amber's eyes lit up as she pulled out something from her pocket, "I'm supposed to give you these."

I took the badge she handed me, "What is this?"

She shrugged, "Georgina's boyfriend told me everyone needs to wear one."

"Shut up before I kill you," Georgina threatened from her bed.

"She'll never date Parker," I giggled, referring to the boy in our year who pined hopelessly for Georgina.

Amber pouted, "She should."

I examined the badge, it read, WEASLEY IS OUR KING.

"Oh no," I muttered, "What is this?"

"I'm not sure," Amber frowned, "I think we're making fun of that redhead you talk to. He's bad at Quidditch I think."

"This is mean," I shook my head, "I want to win as much as you do, but this is cruel."

"Just put it on," she instructed, pinning one to herself.

We walked into the stands as the match was starting. Rebecca insisted she get the aisle seat, and Amber wanted to sit next to Rebecca and me, so I was forced to sit next to a very enthusiastic Luke Parker.

"Hey, Mudblood," he greeted, "Surprised you're actually cheering for Slytherin."

"Of course I am," I rolled my eyes, "Just because I'm friends with Gryffindors doesn't mean I like them more than Slytherin."

I did like my Gryffindor friends more than I liked my Slytherin friends, but I didn't dare say that out loud.

"It's starting! It's starting!" Amber chirped.

We all watched as the players mounted their brooms and shot off after the balls were released.

I didn't know much about Quidditch, I'd only ridden a broom once, in Flying class with Madam Hooch.
