PROLOGUE

Friday, August 2.8.2019 - Munich, Germany

Finally, very much needed summer vacation. That was Elza's first thought when she switched off her laptop at end of the day at the office. Working as a marketing coordinator in a big German manufacturing company wasn't exactly her dream job but it paid well and she liked her colleagues. The job itself was quite tiring sometimes, especially when Elza wasn't actually an expert when it came to manufacturing industry.

"Elza! Have a lovely vacation, you've deserved it but please, try not to find any rich French man and dump us here. We kinda need you," Elza's colleague Anna smirked while walking next to Elza's desk to chat before the two ladies were ready to walk out of the building.

"Ha ha, that's very funny and a horrible idea Anna. Beside I'm quite sure that would be Kate. Kate is basically made to live life in Monaco with her model legs and hair and, well body. I'm perfectly fine with my life here with you guys," Elza answered to her colleague and also the best friend from the office.  Anna was only 3 years older than Elza so the two women got along very well.

"I know, I'm just messing with you honey. But really, you should find someone. Take it as a summer holiday romance. Sometimes I really feel like you're drowning yourself to work. You need to have some fun girl! You're 27, not 50," Anna sighed. Anna knew very well Elza wasn't boring, but compared to herself, Elza was definitely the responsible one. Anna also knew her younger colleague had life outside the office but every now and then she felt like Elza was too busy with her work to see what else is out there in the world.

"Sure thing Anna. All I really need is a glass of champagne, no, make that a bottle and a sunny weather and quality time with the girls. I'm also waiting to just lay on the deck of the boat we rented for few days."

"You mean the yacht you rented?" Anna raised her eyebrows. 

"Exactly," Elza said and tied her thick long brown hair to a loose bun. Both ladies grabbed their handbags and made their way to the hallway and downstairs. 

"Well you better hurry, so you'll make it to the airport in time. The traffic is a bitch on Fridays. And honestly have fun, we'll see you in three weeks," Anna said and waved at Elza as they walked to the parking area.

"Thanks and see you. Have a relaxing weekend!" Elza called out before hopping in to her car. Alright, 20 minutes and I'm at the Munich International Airport and officially on a holiday.

It had been a long and stressful five months since Elza had had a time for real break. Weekends didn't really count. Kate and Ines were her best friends. They had known each other for over 20 years. With them things never got dull. This summer holiday was going to kick some real ass. Hopefully.
