TEEN BLUSH
Growing attached to one another, writing history together just like in movies. The female species often longed for these, in hope their significant other would have done the same. Unfortunately, all these wishes often remained in their imaginations as the reality seemed rather brutal, too complex.
Mixed feelings were involved, feelings that often did not complement, not forming an analogy.Miki, who was sitting with her friends in the school's cafeteria currently went through different stages in her life.
Due to the increment of two people, the table became quite crowded...and loud.
"Speaking of food...", the girl, whose hair had adapted the colors of a rose, barely touching her shoulders, and her eyes brighter than the jupiter, lightning reflecting in her pupils, murmured with her cheeks filled with food. She looked like a hamster, ridiculously cute, it made Yoshikawa burst out in laughter, which she couldn't mask. But the only person, who raised their view to her, was Akaashi, reading another book of his.
Her laughter affected his senses, and he did not know the reason for his feelings, but a sudden smile drew on his lips, as he watched her covering her mouth with her silky hands."Are you guys free to visit this new bakery after school this Friday? They're supposed to have the best soufflé cheesecakes!", she continued, pulling another tekkamaki on her chopsticks before moving them to her mouth again.
To tell the truth, Miki did not actually want to visit the place with the entire squad, as she called them this way, yet she was too afraid of asking the person herself. During the two weeks of Yoshikawa introducing both Akaashi and Bokuto to them, Miki had established quite a fondness towards the volleyball team's captain. Her downy hair glowed like roses drowned with raindrops, whilst her eyes uncontrollably drifted to the herculean, whose eyes grew almost as big as hers.
Still making effort to hold back her laughter, Yoshikawa now leaned to her friend Toshiko, who was giggling as much as her.
"Let's say we already made plans so the lovers can enjoy some alone time", she whispered in her ear, for the black haired boy to hear as well.He was rather unsure about this, knowing Bokuto, he was too fixated on his own to ever fall in love. However, as he looked at them, desperately staring into each other's eyes, perhaps he was wrong about him. His pupils did sparkle, and it was quite embarrassing for him to publicly show his affection. In front of his friends, as a matter of fact.
"I'd love to, really! But Minori promised she'd help me with my biology presentation.", Toshiko finally joined the conversation, leaving a trail of confidence behind her words.
Observing her, examining her countenance, she was pretty, Akaashi thought to himself. Obviously, there was no one else who could have read his mind, fortunately.
Toshiko was quite tanned, and the ends of her hair curled up, hence, he assumed she was probably mixed. Nonetheless, she appeared quite youthful, radiating amusement despite not talking a lot.
To him, every single person sitting at this table was extraordinary, charming and pretty in their individual way."Akaashi and me will accompany you!", Bokuto shouted proudly, even raising the attention of other pupils at him. Akaashi, however, gulped at his response. He'd have preferred to have all of his books taken away than having to spend his free time third wheeling along his friends.
"Actually, I'll be too busy this weekend.", he then shrugged his shoulders opposing his invitation as well.Their plan seemed to work perfectly as both of them decided to go together in conclusion.
In the end, it was their intention to go on their own anyway.Continuing reading the lines of his book, he unexpectedly felt someone nudge their elbow into his arm causing him to lift his head into the air. Again, the depths of the night met the blue sky, and a beaming countenance emphasized the radiation of enthusiasm.
He noticed the corners of her lips tugging a slight smile full of attraction and fairies dancing on her physiognomy.
"What book are you reading now?", she asked sincerely, reading a few lines of the paper.
Startled at first, Akaashi almost forgot the name of it, as all of his thoughts had vanished similar to thunder that only lasted a few minutes.
"It's called Kokoro by Natsume Sōseki.", he whispered not really acknowledging the fact that he did whilst surveying the woman.Discovering her mouthing a quotation he had marked in the book:
'It is painfully easy to define human beings. They are beings who, for no good reason at all, create their own unnecessary suffering.'She did not say a word, her attention still on the quotation, and her mind somewhere else, far, far away from this dimension.
Reading the lines again, she came to understand the meaning of his statement.
She started to identify herself with his saying, a terrible feeling started to form inside her stomach. He was right. The individual, who had lived in utter sorrow, was causing this issue for their own, not knowing how to escape and had to live to suffer from over exaggerating actions.
The homo sapiens was imbecile and naive, she knew that by now.
"Yoshikawa?", he was still observing her, seeing tears form in her eyes that only wished to escape and fall to the ground. He, however, did not understand why. Why was she crying over these words?
The boy hesitated, did not dare to touch the heavenly skin of the person next to him, but froze. And before Akaashi was able to begin a new sentence, she looked up again, her eyes still teary, yet, a bright beam visible on her face. He found this particularly strange."The first time you read this sentence, did you cry after comprehending the meaning behind it?", she asked him instead, what she did not know was, that he was fidgeting with his fingers again, to his luck, his hands were hidden under the table.
In fact, he did not cry at all, it certainly leaded him to believe these words were true, and did affect his actions in some way, but it did not make him emotional.
Perhaps subjective views were what differentiated genders.
He therefore shook his head lightly, breaking the intimate contact they both shared. Her questions were usually obscure, irritating, causing him to question himself.
The moment she graped his wrist without warning, thereby intentionally forcing the adolescent to stand up and follow along, startled him. Akaashi loathed unpredictability, never knowing what could have happened next, not being certain of his doings, always having to have everything planned out.
In the end, it never worked out, forsooth. The girl walked toward the cafeteria's exit ignoring her friends', especially Akaashi's, perturbed expressions.
Her hair, quite long, reminded the boy of the fur of a lion, in fact, her entire presence was an analogy of one, emitting grace and freedom, whilst walking away, everything moved in tact to her light steps.
Was she the protagonist of his own story? Who, who was this girl?
"Akaashi!", she said finally, the music of her lips echoing through both his ears, reverberated still after she had already finished, tattooed in his mind.
"It's okay if you were too shy to answer in front of everyone, I would never judge you.", Yoshikawa finished, and god, what was it with her countenance for that it sparkled stars and had been dipped in honey this morning, wanting him to never turn away his eyes from her.
"You know that, right?", it was an ironical question, obviously, she just wanted reassurance of the man, whose body froze to the ground, yet his cheeks divulged him.
It confused him, this woman, this divine beauty bewildered his heart, and his competence to take control over his feelings and actions.
"Why...Why would I be scared to get emotional in front of you?", so he responded in an audible stammer. He could feel his pulse in his throat somehow. It enclosed his entire body.
But the smile he received from her caused him to forget about it all.In truth, Akaashi did not know how to cope with his feelings, how to show real emotions, as he habitually bottled then up, and continued living in his own made up melancholic suffering.
