"Minori, what the hell?!", she heard her friends scream at her from the other side of the hallway, not aware of the fact the guy could have probably heard their vehement voices.
"Did he give you his number?", they all giggled while running up to the flustered girl, only to see her shaking her head. God, was she exaggerating?
"Don't tell me he withdrew because you were being weird?"
"She always does that! You radiate too much pride!", her best friend, Miki, whined while she sank in the arms of another girl dramatically.

Minori however had to leave this building, as she did not hesitate to punch the wall or her friends out of anger.

"Shut up, I'm gonna go.", Yoshikawa was about to get a panic attack at any moment. She could feel her irregular breathing as well as her erratic heartbeat accelerating inside her chest. She was about to lose her mind.

Therefore, she ran along the empty halls not awaiting an answer of her friends, neither focusing on her steps or anything but with the only intention to reach the top of this building. She ran up the stairs, her breath was heavy and thick, yet she did not stop.

"Fuck!", she screamed opening the door to the rooftop only to miss a step and fell to the ground. She swallowed her words down the throat as tears started to run down her countenance. Why was she hyperbolizing the entire situation making a drama out of a crisis that wasn't even so bad to begin with.

The more she thought about it the more tears formed in her eyes, giving her a blurry view of the sunset as she lay down on the ground looking in the sky.

She could feel a cold breeze passing by her nose and ears, sensing the frigid air embracing her bare legs. In fact, this damn skirt did not prevent her from freezing in any way.
Somehow, she liked the coldness on her skin, though. It made her feel calm and contented.

However, as her gaze roamed to the side, she noticed another person sitting on the rooftop with their face buried in a book, which caused her  cheeks to turn red immediately. God, if the sun shone she would have melted away instantly.

She analyzed the individual sitting on their jacket, a mug next to them as well as a volleyball and their backpack.
They wore a uniform which matched the one of the school's sports clothes.
The further she tried to analyze the appearance of the person, she realized it was most likely a member of the male volleyball team of fukurodani.
His hair had a deep  brown which almost looked as though it was black, but the sun shone down on him, showing the messy strains of hair on his head.
He did not run his hands through his hair just once, she thought watching the boy sitting by himself in silence.

"You're not cold or anything?", she questioned out aloud, noticing him raising his head from the lines he was reading, trying to memorize the quotation.
His facial expression was monotone and without any emotions, almost like a blank sheet of paper. He didn't say anything either, as though he wasn't the one she spoke to.

In fact, why did he not cringe at her, he just witnessed her having a mental breakdown over a guy, yet he decided not to approach the girl?

"Well, I'm cold, but I don't wanna go back inside.", she continued still facing the boy in front of her. There was quite a distance between the two, however, she did still notice his symmetrical proportions. He had a pretty face.

Perhaps he did cringe at her actions but did not want to interrupt her.

Minori sighed at his quietness, looked back in the sky, and observed the cotton clouds that passed by.
She enjoyed the sky and all its different constellations, wishing for the stars to collide and thereby form new planets for her to observe. However, she only liked the idea of it, she never said that out loud.

"I just embarrassed myself in front of the hottest guy I've ever seen.", she sighed to herself, it was ridiculous to think about. The only person who made this situation awkward was her.

She had the urge to look back at him, wondered wether he was paying attention to her words or did not care at all, but she hold herself back from doing so.

"Don't worry, you'll win the next match.", she whispered into the air, a cloud of her breath ascended as she spoke.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps approaching her and saw a body sitting down next to her from the corner of her eyes. He wanted to accompany her.

"I don't think we will, they were quite strong opponents.", the boy shrugged his shoulders, and as yoshikawa looked back to the side, she thought he was looking at her, too, but he was looking at his hands as he nervously fidgeted with his fingers.

His voice sounded pretty, it was the type of voice that one associated with the sound of a composition of some venerable pianist. Perhaps Chopin's Nocturne op.9.

The black haired adolescent sat quite close to her, which made it easier for her to examine his  physiognomy.
He did look increasingly ravishing up close. In fact, he was beyond beautiful.

"You need to be more assertive and self-assured.", she spoke softly, waiting for him to lock his eyes with hers, but he didn't, "Because your opponents seem to be confident enough to believe they'll beat you again. You're representing our school.", she continued.

Not receiving any reaction of the male, Minori got up, and reached out to his hands by laying hers on his, making him stop in the moment. Suddenly, his eyes met hers, as he caught his breath.
His eyes were blue blue like an ice sheet on top of a frozen sea slowly starting to melt again.
At least his gaze and skin felt like that to her.

The sun had almost completely disappeared from the horizon for it was only the moon and the stars to shine down on them.

"I don't have the intention to freeze myself to death tonight, do you?", she asked him rhetorically, her dyed hair falling down her shoulders while she leaned towards him.
Her eyes were huge compared to his, and he somehow couldn't stop staring at them, as though he could see into her soul.
The boy shook his head lightly, started to fidget with his fingers again, which caused the girl into breaking the eye contact.
It irritated her.

"Let's go back", she stood up, still holding his hands, making him do the same. Noticing that she was still holding onto them, she let go, walking towards the door, and waited for him to get his bag.

He nervously packed away his book and grabbed the volleyball before returning  to the girl, which was slightly shorter than him.
It took a lot of effort for him to view her, and not to look away immediately. He never knew where to look at. The atmosphere was quiet and awkward as minutes passed by with the two standing in front of each other, no one saying a word, no one opening the door.

"I...", he now hesitated, looking passed her in the far distance, "I get them as well sometimes. Those Panic attacks", he stammered under his breath, his eyes examining the buildings and street lamps that turned on their lights. For some reason, it felt as though he was talking to himself if he did not look at anyone, it made him feel serene.

Seeing and hearing that, an honest smile appeared on her lips, in all of a sudden she felt calm herself, as her tears had already dried and she sensed her heartbeat against her chest.
"I'm Minori Yoshikawa.", the dainty and charming woman responded to his words, and finally opened the heavy door.

"Keiji Akaashi", he followed her through the exit, feeling an unusual warmth appearing around his ears and cheeks.
