Teenage Priest

'You have been added to the group chat 'Mission Possible'', a notification appeared on the phone's display causing slender fingers to grap onto it while getting in touch with the frigid material, refrigerated by the frosty air that enwreathed the school's rooftop.
Reading the notification over and over again, the human mind's still did not come to an acceptable conclusion. Still could not figure out the meaning behind it.
Was the human being in fact imbecile, stupid? No matter how educated one was supposed to be.

"What's this?", a tender voice whispered into the icy air, his hot breath immediately melted with the ice, dominated by the air, surrendered like a man against the world.
Surrenderd as he always did.
Akaashi held the phone up in the sky, his back sensing the coldness of the soil, desiring to freeze his blood.
Whilst his gaze roamed to his right, he perceived the night sky cheekily gawking back at him, indeed a few breaths away only.
As destiny continued to speak, his cheeks turned red as though the coldness aimed for every part in his body but his face, which was heating up as the minutes passed by, faster than light.

"This, Akaashi...", whenever she voiced words out her mouth, all things became music around his figure, her ethereal beam seemed to affect every little thing around her, and caused everything to shine, to bloom, and to rejoice wherever she was present. As though she was a female goddess, awakened by the books ancient humans wrote about her beauty,

the Aphrodite of present time.

"This is our new year's goal. Cuffing Bokuto and Miki.", the woman finished in a whisper just like him, leaning down to the boy whose pupils grew steadily the more she minimized the space filled with void between the two of them, the more her grin grew.
Akaashi let out an awkward chuckle in disbelief, and to indirectly try and hide his uncomfortableness.
Certainly it was unrealistic for his friend to fall in love, to fall for a woman like her, why, why, when women as Yoshikawa existed?
"You think you're such a smart-ass, huh?", he took his all to appear confident, returning her cheekiness just as her. Oh, his lips glossed honey and stars no man had visited before.

For was it even rightful to have such divine figures dwelling on earth?

"You know I am", as she leaned further down, her hair strands tickled the boy's skin lightly. He flinched a bit when she completely covered the light with her countenance for all he could see in this very moment, was her only.
The sweet grace in front of him.
"Admit it, they'd be gorgeous together."
"I admit that i don't believe Bokuto would be the rightful person for a girl like Miki.", he mumbled in return, longing for air to fill his sore lungs with.
Suddenly, brightness caused Akaashi to close his eyes, as Yoshikawa moved away from him, and leaned against the concrete wall behind her.
"That's too bad, because she's already head over heels for him. But how can she not. Have you seen the way he looks at her?", the girl continued staring at her feet and her toes fidgeting in tact.
Trying to remember the past days, Akaashi did notice a slight change in his friend's behavior. His owl faced friend seemed more energetic than he already was, radiated harmony, yet he was quieter, more observant. However, Akaashi figured it must have been due to his upcoming match, obviously the reason for his strange behavior could've never been a girl.

Thinking about it, did Yoshikawa survey him as well? Could she also notice changes in his behavior, the way he himself looked at her, with desperation yet never in attendance.

"Yoshikawa, you have to understand that I do not intend to have your friend's heart broken because of a mistake we made. It'd be our fault in the end.", in seconds, everything got awkward. He let out a sigh, which dissolved in tranquility, utter silence.
Was he a coward? Wasn't he just afraid of messing up, messing up their friendship?

"Akaashi, the way Bokuto, your best friend in fact, looks at Miki is not how you look at your friends. For instance, he does not glance at her the same way you do at me, it's different. It's almost as if you could perceive stars shining in his pupils.", she began once again, attracting the boy's attention anew, and he listened to every single of the words she pronounced so smoothly, as though she knew what she were talking about, "You can actually see the obvious in his eyes, he ogles her out of love, Akaashi, they both deserve each other."

She didn't acknowledge it for she was enclosed in this idealistic bubble of hers, but slowly, the colder it got, the more sparkles in his pupils faded away.
Perhaps she wasn't such a smart-ass after all.

Leisurely, his eyes drifted to her again, he analyzed her figure, her physiognomy, her slim fingers entangled with each other, and her cheeks glowing in a reddish hue,
For he finally stood up, barely sensing anything in his fingers, he approached her, moving one foot in front of the other, until he could stare down at her.
He had no other choice but to surrender, as he always did, because he was in fact a fool.
A tender smile appeared on his lips as she looked up at him for now it was him to cover every ray of sunshine that shone through the cloudy sky.
Did she not even notice the sparkles gleaming in her own eyes whenever she looked at him?
"We'll freeze to death if we stay any longer.", he whispered under his breath and reached his hands down to her.
Perhaps they were both too oblivious to realize it.
