He watched as her shadow grew smaller and smaller, farther out of his reach which he had so hopelessly attempted to grab, but she wasn't his to hold, to love, nor to cherish, because Monoma wasn't the guy whom she had fell for. Monoma wasn't the guy (Y/N) was destined to be with - Katsuki Bakugo, on the other hand, was the one made for (Y/N), and Monoma just had to come to terms with the fact that it wasn't him...
But he just couldn't seem to come to terms with this as his hands would clench by his side. His eyes sunken as his head tilted down, his golden locks casting a shadow across his eyes. Any pride he tried to hold and show off no longer as his downcast emotions were left visible for the students of UA to see, he wasn't a bad person, he was just merely broken.
And without (Y/N) here and by his side, well, he had nothing but grief and anger.
"Why'd it have to be him?" Monomas voice wavered, almost as though he was tired of trying to hold back his emotions, and he was. All he wanted to do was allow the ground to consume him whole, for him to be away from all of... this, or well whatever this was. It felt as though he were locked in a room, a room where all of his emotions were people, people egging him off and over the edge, to the point where he'd finally shatter.
In fact, he most likely would've fully broke down in the hall had the bell not rung loudly, catching Monoma off guard as he'd dart his head upwards and towards the clock which was displayed on one of the walls. He had let out a breath, one that seemed to be filled with relief as his glossed over eyes blinked swiftly in a poor attempt to stop any tears from falling. He'd then go on to adjust himself in a proper position before darting his head towards the stare he head felt which belonged to the innocent Ochaco Uraraka who was merely concerned for the boy.
"A person from Class 1-A skipping class! Hah! The students of Class B could never, this just shows how much more superior we are as a cl-"
Ochaco Uraraka let Monomas words go over the top of her head as she'd stare curiously at the boy who'd continue to ramble and ramble to himself before she let out a small sigh in disappointment. And here she thought she could finally actually learn more about Monoma, besides him being a dick of course.
"All the time..." Uraraka mumbled to herself as she'd ignore Monomas attempts at mocking her and her class as she'd head to her own.
Once arriving in her classroom she'd catch a glimpse of (Y/N) having a seemingly one sided conversation with Bakugo, and with a weird feeling in the pit of Urarakas stomach she'd too think to herself much like Monoma had done beforehand... 'why'd it have to be him?'
