Monoma sat on a swing in a park he was very familiar with. Its appearance was run down with majority of the parks child attractions being broken beyond repair, but Monoma couldn't help the comforting feeling it brought to him. Similar to the way how a person would be attached to their plush toy from their childhood despite its washed away appearance.
He had to admit that he absolutely adored this place.
Monoma had gained so many memories from being here. To the time he and (Y/N) had first met at this very park and all the way to the time he and her returned here after she got her heart broken.
...
"(Y/N)" Neito quietly whispered into (Y/N)'s ear. His head gently resting on top of her hair as her own head nestled into the side of his neck. "It's alright... I'm here for you."
(Y/N) didn't reply as she'd sniff loudly, getting snot on Monomas shirt but that was the least of his concern as he'd play with the tufts of her hair.
"Let's go for a walk, yeah? Clear your mind..." Monoma suggested to the girl. He waited for an agreement and got one when she'd nod her head into his shirt. "Alright. Let's go then, m'lady." Neito smoothly whispered, being as comforting as he could because he could not stand to see her so sad.
The two exited from the house, (Y/N) clinging more to Monomas side than she had done in years, and despite knowing that (Y/N) was heart broken, he couldn't help but feel slightly selfish, almost glad that she had got rejected.
No, no he shouldn't be thinking that way... even if he liked her too it's not right to want to take advantage of (Y/N)'s rejection. And so he rid of any and all thoughts about her rejection as he'd keep his head forward, focusing more so on protecting the girl stuck to his side.
"The swing... will you push me?" (Y/N) muttered to Monoma as the sight of the park they visited all too religiously as kids appeared.
"Of course, I'll make you fly like when we were kids." Monoma answered as (Y/N)'s tear stained eyes glanced up at the boy, her cheeks tugging up in a forceful smile.
"Yeah... I'd like that."
...
The memory was always one he'd have because he was glad that despite how sad she was, that being here with him had made her feel so much better.
Sadly, his small moment of relaxation had faltered as he recalled Bakugo..
Could katsuki possibly take her to the same place? No, surely not. Surely Bakugo and (Y/N) would not come here. It was Monomas and hers thing, right? She wasn't going to replace him with Bakugo was she?
Maybe that was a stupid question, technically she had already done so.
However, Monoma could only hope and pray that Bakugo and (Y/N) would never appear at this park together.
After all, Monoma didn't want another thing he loved and found comfort in to be stolen right from his grasp. If anything, it was the only thing he had left.
