CHAPTER 17

~WESTON~

The following day, I'm tired and my back is killing me. Our babygirl is moving around and making me feel uncomfortable. I'm laying in the bed and try to get some rest but I'm so fucking restless. Hero finally walks through the door with a proud smile on his face. "What are you smiling about?" I ask. "I have a surprise for you. Come on." He replied. I hold up my hand. He needs to help me up. I'm huge. We slowly walk up to the clubhouse. I wobble my way and lean on Hero.

When we walk inside the clubhouse I see a big bed in the middle of it. " What's this? Are they fucking the crows in the open now?" I ask. "Oh, god no! It's for you. So you can be around everyone but still rest." He says. I smile and tear up. "You're the best." I tell him. "I try my best. Come on, get in the bed. Boys!"

Duke and Ace come running and take their place beside me in this ridiculously big bed. "Wow! That's amazing." Riley says and Dani agrees. "Hey, listen up!" Hero yells and everyone goes quiet. "If anyone fucks or does anything like that on this bed. I'll shoot you! Is that clear?" Everyone nods and says yes. "Good! Because this is my queen's throne!" Everyone clapped their hands.

I look at my phone and I feel a sting of sadness that Vince isn't here. I have to check upon him. I'm worried. Even if he only has himself to blame, I'm sure he's hurting. I send him a text.

[ Weston - Hey! Please just let me know that you're alive? ]

A few minutes pass.

[ Vince - Hey. I'm so sorry, Weston, for everything. I'm ok. I'm staying at a hotel downtown. ]

[ Weston - Ok. Thanks for answering. ]

[ Vince - Yeah. ]

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. This bed is so comfy. I lay on my left side with Duke in front of me and Ace behind me. I feel so calm when they're laying so close. Riley, Dani, and Blair take a seat with me and we all just hang out. Talking and laughing. I try to hide my pain, I know I can't fool Hero much longer, so I try to enjoy this moment as long as I can. "Babe, Are you okay? You look like you're hurting." He asks. "I'm fine. Just some back pains."

"You want me to get you anything?" He asks. "No, I'm okay. I think I'll just close my eyes for a while." I reply. "Okay, babe. I'll fix the last details in the nursery and when I'm done, you can come and look at it." He tells me. "It's done?" I ask. "Yeah, just some small fixes I need to do and Riley, I need your help."

"Sure." She answers him. "Thanks, come on then."

"I'll stay with her." Dani tells him. "Thanks."

"I'm gonna try to get some sleep." I tell her. "Okay. I'll be right here." She replies. "Thank you." I pull the duvet over my ear and close my eyes. I'm so exhausted. My whole body aches. I relax my muscles and fall into a deep sleep.

~HERO~

So our little Angels nursery is almost done. I've been working on it non-stop the last few weeks and it's perfect. I just hope Weston likes it. "Wow, Hero! She's gonna love this." Riley tells me. "You really think so?" I ask. "Yeah! It's beautiful."

"Thank you. Have you heard from Vince?" I ask and she freezes. " No, I haven't. You?"

"Nope. I know that he hurt you and I'm so pissed at him but he's still one of my best friends and I'm worried." I tell her. "I know. Me too." She replies. "I think I'll send him a text."

"Yeah." She answers and continues with the last details as I write a text message to Vince.

[ Hero - Hey, man. Where are you? ]
