CHAPTER 18

~WESTON~

The bed in the clubhouse was the best fucking idea ever! I can spend time with everyone and still lay on my back and push them around. Dani and Riley have been so wonderful. They're by my side at all times when Hero is out on a run or business meeting. Duke and Ace still don't leave my side. I'm half asleep when I hear the door open and Hero, Seth, and Damon walk inside. Between them, I see a very drunk Vince. He can barely stand on his feet. When Riley sees him, her eyes go wide and I can read the pain that fills them.

"Riiley! I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. Please, forgive me." Vince slurs out. "I can't Vince. I can't forgive you but I won't hold it against you anymore. I'm with Damon now." Tears drip from Vince's eyes and it hurts me more than ever. "I understand. I'm just so sorry I hurt you."

"I know." She tells him. "Damon?" Vince says and looks at him. "Yeah?"

"Take care of her and don't cheat, It never ends well." He tells him. "I'll take care of her." Damon replies. "You promise?"

"I promise!" Damon says. "Thank you." Then he passed out. The boys carry him upstairs to his room. I start to cry when they're gone and so does Riley. She crawls up on the bed with me and I stroke her hair. She falls asleep and so do I.

~HERO~

Seth tried to get a hold of Vince. He was worried because he always answered our text but today he didn't. So we drove downtown and started to search for him. We found him and he was a mess. His room was a mess. There were empty food boxes everywhere, bottles of beer, liquor and, soda. Cigarettes all over the place. Bloodstains. We paid the owner for all the damages and took him with us. No matter what he did he's still a full patched member, he's our VP and our goddamn brother.

I think he suffered enough. He cried and screamed for Riley and even Weston. This isn't the Vince we all know. This is the shell of a broken man. I hope we can help him in some way. We get back to the clubhouse and of course, Riley is there. He calls for her, he asks for her forgiveness but this time, she won't budge. She tells him that she's with Damon. Even if I know that they haven't put any labels on their relationship but I know how both of them feel. So I guess it's fair to say that she's with him.

We take him upstairs to his room. We shower him and then put him in bed. He falls asleep fast. Seth is staying with him and he's broken. I guess it's not only when Weston breaks that he breaks as well. Even when Vince breaks he breaks but I understand. Vince has always been the strong one. The one that gets shit done but not this time. This time he's hurt and broken little boy who needs our help and support.

~DAMON~

When I went back downstairs, I found Riley sleeping next to Weston. She's been crying. I can't blame her. Vince was her first real love, he hurt her badly twice. I don't understand why people cheat? If you love someone, that should be enough but I guess this Billie chick was Vince's, first love. First love dies hard.
