~HERO~
I'm by Weston's side as they start the operation. She's sedated and if I'm being honest, I'm glad that she is because this almost brings me to a breaking point and she can't see me like that. I need to be strong for her but now I can let out all my worries. "Okay, so now we're about to take out your daughter, Hero. When I tell you, you can come here and cut the cord." Dr. Bree told me. "Okay." My hands are sweaty. Then I hear the most beautiful sound I've ever heard.
"Come and say hello to your little girl." I walk around and they give me a scissor and I cut the cord. Then they put her into a blanket and hand her over to me. My tears run down my cheeks. She's the most precious thing I've ever seen. "You can follow nurse Abby, and wait out there. We're going to finish everything up here." Dr. Bree says. "Is she okay?" I ask. "So far so good." I nod and follow the nurse with this tiny human in my arms. Half me, half Weston. My heart melts.
It takes forever before I get an update on Weston. Nothing of this means shit if she isn't here with me. Two hours later Dr. Bree steps into the room. "How is she?" I ask her. "She lost a lot of blood and the placenta was so close to bursting, but it didn't. So she will be fine. She needs a blood transfusion and some antibiotics but I expect her to be fully recovered." I sigh in relief. "Thank you so much."
"Of course, I'll let you know when she's awake. Just let me know if you need anything and push the button if you need help with that little girl." She says. I nod and smile. I look down at my baby girl.
So precious, so beautiful, so wonderful. So adorable that my heart actually melts. I'm so in love with her already.

~WESTON~
My eyes flew open and I panicked when I saw that my pregnant belly was gone. "Where's my baby?!" I scream and start to pull out the IV's and try to sit up. Oh, fuck, my lower abdomen hurts like hell! "Calm down, Weston." Dr. Bree says. "She didn't make it, right? She's dead!" I sob. "No, No. She's just fine, she's with Hero." I don't believe a word that she says but just then Hero walks inside with her in his arms. "Is she alive?" I ask him.
"Yes, baby. She's asleep." Hero placed her in my arms and everything inside me fit back in its rightful place. Like I'm a puzzle on the inside. "Hey, baby girl."
Hero kisses my forehead and sits beside me on the edge of the bed. "She's beautiful." I tell him. "Yes, she is. Just like her mommy." He replies. I smile and wipe away my tears with my free hand. I don't think I've ever felt the love this strong before. A mother's love.
