Junior Year : A Jenzie Story

Chapter 7

Although I barley slept at Annie's I still woke up at 5:20am to go for my morning run. I put on a sports bra and some leggings and laced up my shoes as I went out the door. I had ran at Annie's before but I decided to take a new path this morning. My run was going really good. If felt good to get my mind clear and focus on running. Just then I saw another person running towards me. As I got closer I recognized him. It was Johnny, he saw me to and stopped. I never stopped when I was running so I just jogged in place. "What are u doing here, aren't you supposed to be with my sister"Johnny said to Kenzie. "I run every morning"I replied "I don't run every morning but coach wants us to start" Johnny said "I hate to be that person but I'm kinda in the middle of a run and I can't stop". Kenzie said "then care if I join you? I was just about to head that way" he asked "yeah if you can keep up" I said running off.
He ran next to me. He wasn't too bad of a runner himself it oddly surprised me, people can't usually keep up with my stamina. We finished the run at his house. "Not bad Ziegler" he said out of breath. I smiled thanking him. "I need water so bad" he said still out of breathe "let me get you some as a thank you for letting me join your run, please come in for a sec" he pleaded. "Just for some water, I gotta get back to Annie and lauren" I replied.
"So you enjoy the party" he said leading me to the kitchen "yeah it was okay not really my type of scene" I said "how was ur night?" I said  "shit" I'm sure you heard what happened with Soph He said looking down still upset by it "Yeah sorry about that" I said before sipping the glass of water he handed me. "It's what ever I saw it coming honestly" he said. "I don't know why you're with her to be honest John, you obviously deserve way better than her" I said realizing that must of sounded like I was inlove with him. He laughed "oh so what's good for me than Ziegler?" He joked "I don't mean it like that I just think you're kind" I said embarrassed. " I should probably head out" I said before he could respond. "Oh shit yeah, see you around Ziegler nice running with you". He said as he walked me to the door.
He really was a nice boy, he was cute and he really cared. I have no clue why Sophia did that to him.
I ran back over to Annie's just intime as they woke up. "Good morning sunshine's" I laughed at the fact they were just getting out of bed now. I couldn't stop thinking about Johnny all day. I don't know why it bothered me so much. I barley even knew him.
