After Yohan left me alone in my new bedroom, I accidentally remember how I turn my body in Yohan's direction and see how frozen he is due to our interaction with the Archduke a while ago. I punch the wall hard due to the embarrassment I feel.
I sigh and end up opening the glass window to breathe the fresh air that was never present in the real world as the wind was polluted wherever you go in the city.
I waited until night came but never did once the Archduke called me. Annoyed, I grumpily went to his office and barge into the room but Sunghoon is not present, neither the knights who guard the room.
I furrow my eyebrows in confusion and decide to go to the dining hall, hoping he is there. With no luck on my side, Sunghoon has not yet to be seen except with the untouched food. Similar to the previous room, no human presence was felt. My heart starts to beat like crazy thinking someone might have targeted the Archduke.
I close my eyes and focus on tracking Sunghoon's mana but he professionally canceled his mana in order to avoid attackers to locate him. I smirk at him as I tried to locate his ki.
"Bingo." I smile and quickly ran to the hallways and to the other until I find myself in his bedroom. This time, knights are finally present and they quickly draw their spear towards me with angry eyes.
"Master doesn't allow a lowly life to enter his room, Altalunian." One of the knights spat while I put my hands above my head as if I got caught by the police. I tried stepping one foot closer to see their reaction since I'm bored and wanted to have fun. Without second thoughts, they swing their swords towards me as I dodge them easily without putting my hands down to showcase the difference between our strengths but blinded by their egos, they seem to not have read their situation yet.
"Aren't you suppose to say state your purpose and not just killing your Master's protector?" I yawn while asking. The knights are loud a bit loud in doing their attacks to the point it hurts my ear. "Can you lower the noises down? Follow my lead." I grin and let them notice how I didn't make any sounds even if I was jumping or turning.
"Jokes on you rugged girl, Master told us there are no exemptions unless you're the Empress, herself." He spits his saliva in my body but I quickly block it using his sword as I steal his sword from him.
"That's right, my child, be jealous, be envious, wish that you were her," Phthonus whispers in my ear. My fingers twitch knowing Phthonus is currently gathering the emotions I feel that are related to envy. My mind starts to get foggy.
"I won't let you." I hiss. Whenever Phthonus successfully gathers enough envy, my emotions turn dull making me a killing machine. This is what I meant by giving his powers to mind. It does give a great loss to my sanity.
"Try me." He sings happily.
"Will do," I replied and quickly use the sword's handle and connect it to the knights' nape hard to make them lose their consciousness. I breathe in and put all my envies away and when I successfully did, Phthonus hisses and disappears.
I throw the sword at the side and clean my hands by rubbing it in their uniform. I stand up and open the room meeting the uncursed Sunghoon. With a blink of an eye, he throws a dagger at me as I instictly dodge it. I was about to shout at him but then notice that he is still blind despite going back to his original body and not the child one.
"As much as I want to say you look hot in that body of yours, please do tell me why haven't received an order from you yet? Ah, do refrain from throwing daggers at me." I said without any shame. "I'm also emotionally hurt, Your Grace," I said while making a weeping noise.
"Do anything you want." He rolls his eyes and continues, "After you prove that you're not planning anything." He glares. My jaw drops due to how cautious he is. Well, being an Archduke does have a lot of enemies.
