"Change can be scary, but you know what's scarier? Allowing fear to stop you from growing, evolving and progressing."

ABBY'S POV:

I heard steps coming from the elevator. Did we catch a case? "Abby?" I heard the familiar voice. The familiar voice that I missed so much. Voice of Ziva David. "Zivaaa!" I yelled back as I ran to her. "You're back!" She didn't have time to respond, because I squeezed her in a tight hug.

"I missed you. Are you staying?" I said as I let go of her. "I missed you, too, Abbs. And yeah, I'm staying, hopefully for good this time." she replied. "Perfect." I said. "Now, where's my sweet niece? I can't wait to see her." I asked her, really excited to finally meet Tali in-person. "She's in the bullpen with Gibbs. He said he'll look after her while I'm down here." she said with a smile on her lips. "Aww" I said, almost whispering. "What?" she asked with a chuckle. "Oh, nothing." I said innocently.

We were catching up, when my phone started to ring. I read the caller ID on the screen. It said "Reeves". Clay was calling me. Ziva looked at me, probably wondering why I was staring at the screen for so long. "Are you going to answer that?" she said after a moment. "Um, if you don't mind?" I said hesitantly. "Of course, I don't mind. I'll go check on Tali, meet you in the bullpen in a few minutes?" she said with happiness spread all over her face. "Yeah, sure, meet you in a few." I said.

As soon as I answered the call, I heard Clay's voice. I haven't seen him since yesterday. We're living together for over two years now, but we still get into fights over sleeping together. And I don't mean sex by that. I'm used to sleeping in a coffin, but I had to adjust to sleep in a bed. Anyway, I thought, since we're in a long-term relationship, that it would be nice to buy a coffin for two..."Abby? You there?" Clay's voice brought me back to reality. "Yeah, yeah. I'm sorry, I got lost in thoughts. What's up?" I said.

*meanwhile in Jack's office*

JACK'S POV:

I heard knocking. "Come in." I yelled. "Hey, Cowboy." I said happily as he entered. "What do you need?" He didn't answer, instead he said: "Tali, come here." A little girl entered. "I want you to meet someone, this is my friend Jack and she's gonna watch you till' Ima comes back, okay?" continued Gibbs. "Okay, Grandpa." said the little girl. Grandpa? I almost fell off my chair. I'm a psychologist. I'm supposed to get into people's heads, but I certainly cannot get into Gibbs' head. Not right now anyway.

"Jack, I gotta go. We caught a case, could you watch over Tali for me, till' Ziva comes back from Abby's lab?" Gibbs spoke up again. Ziva? She's back? Then I noticed that Gibbs was still looking right at me. "Uh, yeah. Yeah, sure I'll watch her. Go, catch the bad guys." I finally answered. "Thanks, Jack." he said, kissed me on the cheek and left.

And then it hit me. Ziva came back. This is Ziva's daughter. But who's her father? Ugh, now it's not the time for questions. I shook my head. Focus, Jack! You have responsibilities. "Tali, would you like a lollipop?" I asked, not really knowing what to say. "I would love one, thank you!" she replied with a smile. I smiled back. I closed my eyes. "Let me guess, you picked the red one?" I said. "How did you know?" she asked. "It's kind of my superpower." I winked at her. She started giggling. Good job, I thought to myself.

*in the bullpen*

TONY'S POV:

I was shocked when I saw Ziva walk out of the elevator. But I was even more shocked when I saw the kid. Ziva has a daughter?! The words were repeating themselves in my head. The question is who's the kid's father. I feel like it's, uh what was his name... Eshel! Yeah, his name's Eshel. I always thought he had a thing for her...

Suddenly I felt someone pat me on my shoulder. "Hey! Tony! Earth to DiNozzo!..." It was Ellie. "Uh, yeah. Sorry, I just spaced out." I said, still being in shock. "We noticed." said McGeek, giggling like a middle school girl. I didn't have time to say anything in reply, because Gibbs came back, probably from Sloane's office. "Grab your gear! We got a dead Naval Intelligence officer."

A/N: I'm not sure how much I'll let the case affect this story, cuz' I've multiple ideas. Anyway, I'm sorry for not publishing for a long time. I kind of forgot about this fanfic, tbh. I hope you like it tho. Btw this chapter has two parts.
