Academy Days

Naruto and I walked in silence from our school to our apartment. We were exhausted and mad for everything that happened to us with those bastards.

"I should've known" I heard Naruto say.

"What?"

"I should've known what she was getting into dattebayo!" He said in rage as he kicked a small rock away. "Everyone knows that Orochimaru is down for some shit and I knew Karin and Sasuke were following his steps but-"

"Hey, it's not your fault. She made her decisions and chose that path. It's all on-"

"Sakura-chan, I'm her cousin. I was supposed to protect her dattebayo" he said as he sighed in frustration. I understood what he meant. Family members are supposed to care for each other no matter what. And he has been an orphan all his life  so that meant that before the Academy, the only person who was close to him by blood was her.

"Look, I know you will feel guilty for all this. But because of her and her crazy mind she has us trapped. She made Sasuke go back with her because she knew his weakness. Hell, she knew everyone’s weakness!" I said. "But we have to find a way to get out of this."

"Yeah Sakura that sounds pretty heroic, but we're not fighting Karin, Suigetsu and Juugo. We'll be fighting the whole Akatsuki." He said as I looked at him confusing. "They're the ones who control the school with other organizations. But nobody knows for what purposes which means, they're dangerous."

"But weren't you the one who controlled the school back when we met? Or it was just mere words to make you look like the sexy bad boy from the Academy?"

"O, so you thought I was the sexy bad boy from the Academy dattebayo?" He said with a smirk as I realized what I just said.

"Shut up ramen noddle!" I said as I pushed him away, trying to hide my blush. "We have to find a way to get out of this."

Naruto looked at me walking away and smiled to himself before following me. "Alright, as you say forehead."

"No, please" said a girl as one man pointed a gun at her and made her stand still in front of a crew. The man looked at her intensively,  inspecting her whole features.

The woman couldn't stand the way he was looking at her but was frustrated because she couldn't do anything. "My father did everything to spare me from all of you while I studied here. He gave you all the money he had, he even worked for you in exchange of my and his safety."

At this point she was in tears. "Konan, you promised me..." she said as she looked at the blue haired woman who was standing near the window, trying to be as cold as ever.

"Konan" the dark, red haired man said, getting her attention. He didn't kept going. It seemed like he and Konan had a whole conversation by just staring at each other's eyes.

It didn’t took long before Konan turned to face the window again. "It's not my fault that you grew up to be like this. Take her away."

"No! You promised!" Said the girl as she tried to escape but another man grabbed her and punch her in her face. Then he turned her around to face the man who appeared to be one of the leaders of the group.

He approached the girl and lifted her chin up, cleaning the trail of blood from her mouth in the process. Then he looked down and used his other hand to inspect her body.

Once he was done, he faced the woman who was still crying and looking away. "She's ready for the initiation. Our client will like her."

Weeks passed by and everything went normal at the Academy. Except for us. Thanks to Karin, Naruto, Sasuke and I have been given certain tasks to do during the week as part of their drug dealing job.

Did I like it? Of course not! I was doing something wrong and if I ever got caught I might be back at the orphanage. Same thing happens if I ever decide to speak to someone about this.

But the strange part is that only Naruto amd Sasuke dealt with the products and the clients directly. Sometimes they delivered, other times they carried tons of money while I was just allowed to....bring a small list with names?

It was weird because they only required names from people who "might join the cause". Every week I had to bring them 10 names of people I thought they can join us. But they never explained why.

"Don't you think that the task they gave me is strange Naruto? Names? For what?" I said as walked down the hallway with him and Sasuke towards History class.

"Be grateful for that. I have to take care of this all day before giving it to Juugo once school is over. Otherwise I'll be doomed!" Naruto said as he showed me his bag full of new drugs to sell.

Suddenly Sasuke tried to cover Naruto's bag with his jacket. "Idiot if someone sees this we're going to be in big trouble!"

"Geez Sasuke I got it all controlled!" Naruto said while rolling his eyes. "Relax".

"Says the one who doesn't has to date an ex out of obligation." He said as he sighed in frustration.

"Well, I'm basically divorced so that's worse 'ttebayo.." Naruto said as I rolled my eyes. knowing they were about to engange in a fight of who got more bad luck.

Then, I saw a familiar blonde girl walk in the opposite direction of were our class was headed. "Hey Ino-chan!" I said as I stopped her. "Where are you going? You're in the oposite direction of History class."

But Ino didn't replied. In fact she kept her head down while I talked. "Ino? Ino are you okay?"

"Just leave me alone." She murmured.

"Hey Ino, you seem kinda weird are you sure-" Naruto said as he tried to touch her arm.

"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE DON'T TOUCH ME!" she said as she ran away towards the bathroom. The three of us stood there confused.

"What the hell?" Naruto said. "Why she reacted like that I'm not stinky. I even used a new perfume today dattebayo..."

"Maybe some dude dumped her again?" Sasuke asked.

"I'll go talk to her. You guys go" I said as I turned around but Naruto suddenly hold me back.

"Be careful Sakura-chan. If something happens, just scream and I'll be there." He said as he used his other hand to caress my short hair.

"I...uh...cut it out I'll be okay Naruto!" I said as I laughed awkwardly and managed to get free to go. Naruto stood there for a while before he heard a groan from the Uchiha.

"Are you done?" Sasuke said while getting his attention."I get that you like her but don't do that again. Not in front of me."

"Shut up teme!" Naruto said while smirking and walking away with him. Then Sasuke took the cue to warn him.

"Look, she is a cool girl. Annoying in some moments. But if something happens, it might hurt you.... a lot." He said as Naruto quickly understood what he meant.

"I know, but no matter what happens. I'll wait for her and make sure she's safe. Even if it costs my life." He replied.
