There was silence in the library, and it was empty.

Well of course, except for Naruto, Jiraiya sensei and me.

'Fuck detention'

"Maaaaan I'm hungry dattebayo!!" Naruto said with a yawn as we both cleaned all the books and organized everything.

"You would've been at home right now if it weren't for your stupidity, Naruto." I said without looking at him.

"Wrong. You only had to stay quiet and enjoy all the fun about what I did to you. You know, just to welcome you to class." He said with a grin while I felt myself getting the urge to punch him.

"Ah, I see you're finally getting to know each other. You'll have plenty of time for that and maybe for some other things." He said with a smile. "Ah, I see you brought the new one here. What's your name?"

I rolled my eyes.

"Sakura Haruno."

"My pleasure! You can be of use for some passages of my research."

"Research? Of what kind?" I said while rising an eyebrow.

"One people have a hard time forgetting about it." He replied while showing his book. "You see I'm not only the librarian but a published author! I wrote this a while ago but I'm making a sequel. Perhaps you could-"

"Oh, quit the crap Pervy Sage she won't help you!" Naruto said with annoyance. "She is even flat chested so don't waist-"

Suddenly he felt my punch in his heard and he fell on the ground.

"Owww! Sakura-chan!" He said in pain.

"That's what you get for being an idiot!" I said.

"Hmmm" Jiraiya said, making me glare at him.

"What?!?! Can you leave us alone for once?!?!"

"Actually I was about to do that. But please, don't hurt my nephew while you two are alone. He needs his pride" he said with a grin while leaving.

We both were so surprised and embarrassed....

"P-Pervert!!!" I yelled.

"WHAAA-- YOU FUCKING PERVERT! JUST WAIT FOR ME ONCE I LEAVE DETENTION DATTEBAYO!!!" he said in anger as I saw him leave my side and continue cleaning the books.

The rest of the afternoon went silent. But I noticed that he did it with such dedication and...determination to finish cleaning that he actually worried me.

"Hey...Naruto.." I said trying to make him snap out of his thoughts.

"....."

"Naruto, we're almost done."

"...."

"Hey, are you alright?" I asked again.

"...."

I sighed as I finished cleaning the book I had in my hands. "Look, if it's about-"

"Don't worry, I don't see you that way." He said as he stopped cleaning. "I only have eyes for one person. No one else."

'Him? Naruto in love? The one that prank me and left me without my backpack for a whole semester?'

"And....have you told her about your feelings?" I asked with curiosity.

"We dated for a while, but it never worked out. She...." he sighed. "She was ashamed of what I am and were I come from... and because of that I hurt her."

I saw him took a huge deep breath and go grab his things. "Anyway, that's old news dattebayo! Come on, we gotta go before it gets late."

I nodded and followed him. Once we left the library I was going to go home alone but he insisted on taking me. I had no choice to let him since he was kinda sad for what I made him told me before.

"Where the hell do you live Sakura-chan!?" He said in annoyance. "It's so looooong!!"

"Hey you insisted on coming so no complains idiot!" I replied.

"Fine, bubble gum" he said.

"Don't call me that."

"Like what?" He grinned. "Bubble gum?"

"Like that. I hate it, and Karin calls me that too and I just can't stand it!"

"Oh really? That means she hates you dattebayo."

"How do you know?"

"Uhhh...we're cousins duh..." he said. "Uzumaki's tend to know everything about each other dattebayo. Let me guess, she thinks you're in love with Sasuke right?"

I blinked realizing that despise all the stupidity and temper he may have, he was really smart.

"I can't believe you managed to guess the reason she threatened me at lunch today."

"She does that with everyone. It's a cooo-cooo thing she has in her mind" he said as he motioned me the gesture that Karin was a crazy girl.

Then we arrived home. I took a long sigh before staring at the old structure.

"You live here?" Naruto asked. "Nah, it can't be.."

"Not for people like me..." I said while making a small step. Then I felt his arm grab mine.

"Sakura I don't like this. Let's go" he said in a serious tone. I let go of him.

"Naruto you go home. I'll see you at sch-"

"THERE YOU ARE YOU FILTHY BITCH!" yelled the man who was supposed to be in charge of me. "Where have you been all this time?"

Naruto and I looked at him and realized that he was not himself.

"He's drunk. Let's go" Naruto insisted.

"This isn't your business!" I said with anger at him. Then I turned to my supposed to be "step-father" with annoyance. "I got work to do at school, now I'm back. Now get inside, I'll-"

I felt his hand slap my face. "Don't you dare talk to me like that you brat! Now go inside and make me some food!!"

"Stop!" Naruto said. "I won't let you hurt her!"

"And who the hack are you?!?! Her boyfriend? I'm surry dud but she's my property!"

"Naruto leave!!!" I said while holding my tears. "I can deal with him. I don't need you!"

"B-but!"

"JUST LEAVE!!" I insisted before going inside the house without looking back. Then I felt how he slapped my butt as I entered.

"Yeah, you better work that ass tonight before I get bored.." I heard him say as he closed the door. I clenched my fists.
