Road work ahead

Our Married Life

Not too long after your wedding you and Hanta decided to get a new apartment. After all you both knew you would want to have children so you would need at least one- two extra rooms. You and him ended up finding a very spacious apartment with just enough rooms. It was actually pretty close to your grandmas house which was nice because you were able to check in on her when you needlework wanted. You and Hanta had a set routine you would both go to work near the same time and get home close to the same time. Sometimes one would get home sooner than the other. Whenever he left for work you always made sure to adjust his helmet, for some reason he always put it on just slightly off centered which really bugged you. Your favorite moments with him was really any moment when you were with him. Recently it has been hard , however, because Hanta has been getting swarmed with work, whether it is saving people or paperwork. You just miss him from time to time, however today was particularly hard for you. You had a long day at work, there was a huge villain attack so not only did u have to go on site to heal civilians some looking terribly close to death, but you had to see everyone there in pain. Not to mention Hanta, as soon as you healed him, had to go right back to work on looking for civilians and then go to the office for paperwork. It didn't really matter that today was your birthday. For heroes villains never stop so neither does their job. It just hurts when the one person that you wanted to spend your birthday with wasn't able to be there.
You walked into your apartment the long day finally came crashing down on you. You were exhausted so you just put your keys in the lock turned it and opened it to your pitch black apartment. You looked at one light that was on, it was above your kitchen table. There was a slice of your favorite cake and a note next to it that said,"I am sorry I can't be there but I love you so much!!!" -Hanta
You put your bags down, sat at the table and just stared at the plate, it made you smile for the first time today. Suddenly, you kicked something under your table. It grunted , it was human. What the hell was going on!? You were about to look under the table when whatever you kicked grabbed your legs and pulled you down under the table. You screamed but then.... You saw a small flame shining a light on Hanta face. He held out a cake with a piece cut out of it. There were candles and it said happy birthday my love. You finally were able to take in why you were under the table. Not only was Hanta home, but he had made you a birthday pillow fort and had a projector playing movies on the back of your couch. You were so tired but you couldn't believe you didn't see it. You quickly blew out your candles and hugged Hanta saying," I love you so much! Thank you for making my day so much better!" For the rest of the night he was with you in your pillow fort(after you took a shower ofc).
