Chapter Fifteen

"Mazie!" Haley shouted. "Mazie! Wait up!"

I turned on my heels to face her.

"I'm so sorry," she says.

"No need to apologize, it's fine," I reassure.

"No, no I want to," she starts. "You were trying to do something nice and my dad came and ruined it."

"No, it's okay," I say.

"I just wanted to let you know that mom and I are really, truly sorry," Haley apologized.

"Okay, I accept your apology," I reply.

"Thank you!" She exclaims as she hugs me.

Just then, the 5 minute bell rang.

"See ya at lunch?" I asked.

"Actually, my group in art won the pizza party," she explained. "But I'll see you on the bus."

"Okay, see you on the bus," I say.

I walk to social studies. It's boring like usual. The whole day is boring actually, but when I got to lunch, things got weird. I get hot lunch, and then sit at the same table I always sit at.

"Hey red," Someone greets.

"Jacob?" I ask. "What are you doing?"

"Sitting. What does it look like I'm doing," he jokes.

"Why are you sitting with me?" I question.

"You're a really pretty girl sitting alone in a corner," he starts as he takes a bite of his apple. "You look like you need a handsome super hero like me to come and save you."

"Um, okay," I say.

He scoots closer to me and I scoot away. I wondered what he was trying to do. He put his arm around me, but I pushed him away.

"What are you doing?" I question.

"Nothing, baby," he answers.

"Baby?" I ask.

"Yes?" He asks.

"No, I was asking you why you-would you stop touching me!" I exclaim as he tried to put his arm around me again.

"Why? Don't you like it?" He asked.

"No, wait- no- er- NO!" I exclaimed.

"Come on, baby!" He exclaimed as he puckered his lips.

"Ew! Stop you have a girlfriend already!" I yelled.

"Who?" He asked.

"Haley!" I exclaimed.

"Oh, her. I just asked her, because I felt bad for her.She's not one bit pretty," he confessed.

"Ugh, how dare you!" I yelled.

"Now, how about we kiss now," he says.

"No! Please stop! Help!" I yelled as I backed away from him.

I was cornered when he was about to kiss me. Then, Aiden came in and pushed Jacob out of the way.

"Back off, she's mine!" he exclaims as he puts his arm around me.

Jacob got up and ran off. I laughed really hard, and I don't know why.

"Thank you," I say.

"No problem," he replies. "Isn't that your friends date to the dance?"

"Yeah, I have no idea how I'm going to tell her," I explain.

"Good luck with that," he starts."You want to sit with me and my boys for the remainder of lunch?"

"Depends," I start. "Are they going to pour their drinks on me?"

"I don't know, it's a possibility,"he jokes.

I punch him playfully on the arm and grab my lunch. I follow him to his table, and sit down.

"Oh, Aiden brought his girlfriend," one joked.

"Guys, come on," Aiden complains.

"The one he's in love with," another jokes making kissy faces.

"Guys really, be mature," He whines.

"Dude, you know it's impossible for us to be mature," another jokes.

They continue making jokes for the rest of lunch. I laugh my ass off, while Aiden just begs them to stop. They mostly embarrass Aiden the whole time and it's really funny. Then, the bell rang.

"Hey, Mazie, want to sit with us again?" He asks.

"Sure, if Haley can come too," I agree.

"Okay," he starts. "But I get to sit next to you."

He winks and walks away. I go to my next class and actually pay attention. I'm to happy to not to. I couldn't believe I was saying this, but I might actually enjoy going to the dance with Aiden!

The rest of the day went by fast. At the end of the day, I waited by my locker for Haley. It felt like forever, and I was afraid we'd miss our bus. It was second round, so it would take awhile anyway. I heard someone coming, and I thought it was Haley, but it turned out to be Jacob.

"Hey, babe!" He exclaimed. "Your boyfriend isn't here to save you now is he."

"Jacob, please don't!" I exclaimed.

He pinned me up against the lockers and leaned in. He was about to put his lips on mine, when Haley came.

"Mazie! What are you doing!" She cried.

I'm so upset! The Seahawks lost! But today is a SNOWDAY!!!!! So, yay! Tomorrow might be one too! Yay! Th picture is of Taylor Caniff who plays Jacob, just to remind y'all.
