Chapter 2: Realization

A/N: I'm thinking about changing my writing style I'm gonna be writing in paragraphs instead of a dialogue format. I hope that's okay with all of you :P DRACONIC OUT!

A few months later

Ash and serena have been training for about 3 months now and have now gained mastery in the arts of aura, we join them as they are partaking in another training session with their Lucarios (The riolu's evolved) 

"So sere did you contact your mom about our training on mt. Silver" Ash wondered as he asked his 'friend' " What do you think I tell her ' Mom I'm training on mt. silver with my cru--" Sere blushes at what she was about to say and covers her mouth with her arms.

"Ash let's change the topic shall we?" Sere asks still Wondering how her conscience got enough confidence to tell him that, "Sure as you say sere." Ash shrugged and let whatever she was about to say go.

Ash was about to start another topic to talk about as he heard the sound of a person walking, "Sere did you hear that?" Ash asked, "If you're talking about the sound of feet heading our way then, Yes I did" Ash stepped infront of serena as an instinct and prepared an aura sphere. Serena however was flattered that ash would protect her if anything happened and started blushing.

The sound of the person walking becomes more prominent and the two protectors start to see a figure heading their way, it wasn't long until ash Figured who this figure was *GET IT?* Ash jumped and ran up to the person and hugged him as it turned out to be none other than lance the champion.

"Heeyyy ash, how are you?" Lance asked his friend, "I'm fine how about you?" ash replied, "I'm as fine as ever, Who could this lovely lady be?" Lance was about to pick serena's hand and kiss it as a greeting but was stopped by ash grabbing his hand, Lance Shot an eyebrow up as to ask why he did that but ash didn't have a response he himself didn't know why he did that.

In Ash's Thoughts

WHAAA-- WHY DID I STOP LANCE? what is it that I feel whenever I see sere, why do I keep calling her sere. It's like I am in heaven when I'm around her I feel myself letting go of any worries or problems that I might have. 

I feel butterflies in my stomach when I see her smile and those eyes of hers, Ah those eyes those blue eyes They are the most captivating orbs that I've ever seen I feel myself getting lost in those eyes those ocean blue eyes that seem like they can calm a thunderstorm by just looking at it. I have been wondering what this is from the first day I met her but now I know that this feeling I feel towards her this feeling of taking on the world for her.

I know what it is

I know what it means

I know that,, that .. this feeling.. is none other than.....

.....Love

Back to the real world

"ash.. Ash... ASH" the shout of his name snapped him out of his train of thoughts, "Uuhhh yea?", "I was telling you that there is a tournament that is going to be held in a few days from now so since I can't add your real name as this tournament will not be having as much security as the past tournaments I'll need an alias so that you stay safe with the past organizations you've meddled with", Turns out lance was asking ash to give him his alias to enter the tournament with, "Oh yea I'll go with Red tokugawa, and serena, you?", 

Serena was confused as to why he asked her for an alias since he was the one entering," If you're wondering why I'm asking you about an alias it's because lance told me in a letter that the tournaments from now on will be having performances so I figured you'd wanna take part in them" as if ash had read serena's mind he answered her question without her even asking.

"Oh okay then I'd love to take a part in the performances, Now for my alias I'd go withh...... Ummm.. Leaf.. Tokugawa." Ash was astounded by her surname choice as it could only mean one of two things 

1. Serena thinks the same way about ash the way he thinks about her

OR

2. Serena considers ash a brother and does not want to have any romantic relationship with him.

Even thinking about the second possibility broke ash's heart into 2 pieces, " Okay then I'll take these names back to the nearest pokemon center and register you two" Lance once again snapped ash back from his train of thoughts as he flew away on his pidgeot.

At that moment serena noticed that the sun was setting and said "Wow the sunset is soo beautiful today" and as if ash's lips had a mind of their own they replied "Not as beautiful as you"
