Love of a Lifetime (Mirio x Reader)

"Sir you can't die yet! You just can't!"

Y/n POV

Today is the big mission. We would be saving the little girl. I would be lying if I said I was nervous. I try not to doubt my skills or others skills. It's all about hope. Mirio and Midorya on the other hand looks out of it. I tried to make them feel better and boost their confidence but it didn't work. I'll leave them be.

We are currently at the place Overhaul and Eri are. Mirio started running through the walls and I just glitched around. I was glitch around the building when I suddenly found Eri and Overhaul. The others wasn't here so I decided to take him on myself.

I got in position ready to fight until the little girl said something.

Eri: Please don't do this. I don't want anyone else to die because of me.

Huh? What the hell is this little girl talking about.

Y/n: Kid I can assure you I'm not gonna die.

I started to glitch around the room making my moves as unpredictable as possible. I doubt he'll be able to predict my moves when I have no plan.

I glitched in front of him and swung my fist at his stomach. I missed. He had dodged it and tried to reach for me. I glitched away. I have no idea what his quirk is. Maybe they said something about it at the meeting the other day. I should've been paying attention.

I glitched to my world and stayed there for a little to think of a plan. I suck at coming up with plans. FREESTYLE IT!!!! I grabbed a sword that I storied there and went back to the fight. I started to glitch in a circle around him swinging the sword I managed to get a couple of hits in.

Midoriya and Sir Nighteye then came. I have been fighting for hours now. All of us started fighting him. But then Sir Nighteye told us our future.

Sir Nighteye: We are all gonna die. It's faith. When I see a vision it's usually no changing it.

Y/n: THAT'S NONSENSE SIR!!! THE FUTURE CAN ALWAYS BE CHANGED!!!

Sir Nighteye: Not when I see it. You can't change it.

All of a sudden the ground turned into spikes. I got stabbed in the leg. I glitched off the spike. I look over to see Sir Nighteye stabbed.

Tears started to stream down my face. I couldn't believe what was happening.

I then fainted from lost of blood.

I woke up in the hospital. My leg was wrapped up. I got out of bed to see if anyone was here and if Sir Nighteye was ok. I look down the hall to see Bubble Girl standing by a room. I quickly went to her and she told me Sir Nighteye was in there. I walk in to see Mirio crying by Sir Nighteye. I ran to the side of his bed crying. He had a bunch of tubes sticking out of him.

Mirio: Don't go.

Y/n: S-sir d-don't leave us. Fight on. I'm sure you'll survive.

Mirio: You can't. Please live! You can't die!

Sir Nighteye: Mirio.......y/n.

Y/n: Sir you can't die yet! You just can't!

Sir Nighteye: Before I go....Mirio I want to see your future one last time.

Tears kept coming. I wish people could live forever but reality just doesn't work that way.

Sir Nighteye: You'll become a great hero. I'm proud of you Mirio. You too y/n. I might not be able to look into your future but you'll be great. I know it.

He gave a smile and the heart Monitor went in a straight line.

Y/n: S-sir N-no! Please! Please!

Third Person POV

It's been a month since Sir Nighteye's death. Bubble Girl took over his company. You and Mirio have been babysitting Eri. And for Midorya and how's he doing. He's doing great but you're pretty sure he stole Sir Nighteye's rare All Might poster after he died.

Aizawa said Mirio can hopefully get his quirk back when Eri learns how to control her quirk. You learned about Eri's quirk. You wished a doctor with her quirk would've been there when Nighteye was dying then maybe he would still be here today. You and Mirio also found out that Eri doesn't know what a smile is. The U.A festival is coming up and you two hope that you can make her smile then.
