making memories with you - that's what i really wanted to do. when you walked into my little lp shop, it was like spring coming after a long winter. then you were chosing albums to listen to. and you were thrilled every time you had found your favorite artist. singing along while dancing around the table with lp player, performing your simple private concert only for me as if you hadn't done the same thing before.

you light up my darkest day. but when you once walked into my apartment with sadness written in your face, the light inside me turned off. so we were sad together, holding each other in our arms, crying and listening to our irregular breaths. i didn't know what was going on and i bet i didn't want to know because seeing you hurt was painful enough for me. i wasn't able to speak, neither did you. the memory of our summer days came back to me.

you weren't the same person back then as you had been in our eighteens. but i loved you just the same.
