Chapter 22

~night time~

"Thanks a lot for inviting us"you thanked as you walked out of the door.

"Nope..thanks for hanging out with me"she smiled. Jin also headed out.

"I'll see you next time"Jisoo waved.

"Take care!"Jin said, waving back at her. You bid goodbyes and she closed the door as you walk away.

"Are we going home already?"he asked. You stopped walking and pouted as you thought about it. Before you could even speak, your stomach rumbled. Your cheeks turned red due to the embarrassment you felt.

"You're hungry"he mumbled.

"I-I'm not"you stuttered. You look away and started walking again. He suddenly grabbed your arm, pulling you closer to him which made you bump into his chest, stumbling.

"What-"

"You weren't looking. There is a pool of mud on where you are about to walk to"he stated. You looked ahead and there was indeed a pool of mud in front of you.

"Uhm thanks"you thanked as you tuck your hair behind your ear.

How embarrassing can I still get?

Both of you continued walking again and your eyes landed on the convenience store nearby. You wanted to go there but you were shy to tell him. Your stomach rumbled again which made you mentally slap yourself.

"We should buy food"he said as he grabbed your hand, dragging you to the convenience store.

"No. I'm fine"you protest.

"Well, it's not fine with me"he said as you both enter the store. He started to look around and check the foods.

"Does that make you full?"he asked, pointing at a sandwich. You nod. He took the sandwich and went to the ice cream area.

"Do you want some?"he asked.

"I'm not in the mood for ice cream right now"you replied. He still took an ice pop anyway. You were following him like a little kid. He went to the cashier and you opened your bag, to get your wallet but he stopped your hand. He took out some money from his pocket and paid for it instead.

You stare at him as he paid, you couldn't help but smile at how natural he acts now. He looks like a city guy who already lived here for more than a year.

"You're a cute couple"the lady in the cashier blurted, making you choke on your own saliva.

"N-no!"you denied.

"We're not a couple"Jin spoke.

"Not yet.."you heard him mumble which left you speechless. You weren't really sure if that's what you heard.

"Oh I apologize..you look good together"the lady smiled. You chuckled nervously.

"Thanks"Jin thanked, winking at her.

Why does he have to wink at her when he thanked because she said we look good together? What does that make me?

You both went outside the store and you immediately munch on the sandwich while walking on the way to your house. He opened the ice pop and started to lick them.

"Thanks for the treat"you shyly thank.

"No problem. This is good by the way" he said, referring to the banana flavored ice pop.

"It is"

The sandwich was so good that you were just eating it, not letting out a word but you were still listening to what he was saying. He talked about how the movie was good and that he wants to watch more movies in the future. He also talked about how he enjoyed the day.

You were glad that he enjoyed the day but you couldn't dare to look at him right now. He was staring directly at you while talking about his day. You know how mesmerizing his eyes are so you know that you couldn't face him without being flustered especially up close.

He suddenly stopped walking and looked at something behind you.

"Jungkook?"he uttered, furrowing his eyebrows.

"What?"you asked as you turn to look at the direction he's looking at. You tilted your head because the only thing you saw that is in there was a big tree.

"It's nothing. I thought I saw someone I know. Let's go"

Did he just say 'Jungkook? Why does that sound so familiar to me? I'm sure I heard that somewhere..

"Are you sure?"you asked.

"Yeah, let's go"he said as he started walking again. You looked at the tree once again that he was looking at earlier and you don't find anything suspicious about it. You were kinda creeped out since it might be a ghost or something.

"Y/n"he called after realizing you weren't following him. You immediately caught up with him.

You finished the sandwich you were eating before you got home and so did he with his ice pop. You were finally home and plopped down on the couch. Jin chuckled seeing your action.

"Shall we start the lessons now?"you asked, pointing at his phone. He nodded and sat on the couch beside you.

"But before that, I have a question"you said.

"Go ahead"

"Do you really have no friends here?"you asked. It doesn't seem to get off your mind so you asked. He just said a name earlier which means he knows someone here on land.

"I'm gonna be honest here"he started.

"I have a close friend on land actually but the thing is I don't know where he is now"he explained.

"I mean I just know that he is on land but I don't know exactly where"he added. You slowly nod. That was understandable. The world is such a big place. There are so many countries so he wouldn't know where his friend is.

"Where did you last saw him?"you asked. You used the pronoun 'him' assuming that he's a guy since he mentioned the word 'he' earlier.

"We parted ways on the beach right there"

It's just near here.

"Do you want to look for your friend?"you asked. He smiled and shook his head.

"He will be the one who'll look for me, I'm sure of that"he stated, making you raise an eyebrow.

"If he lives in this city, he'll know that I'm here. If not, then I can't do anything about it"he smiled.

"How would your friend know?"you asked but he just winked at you.

He does have a habit of winking. Well, I'm not complaining unless if it's not for me.

"So..you should start teaching me now"he spoke as he grabbed his phone, changing the subject.

"Uhmm okay?"
