Chapter 56

Jin felt dizzy as he watch you pace back and forth. You started to bite your nails anxiously. You just texted your mom to have a serious talk with her, you're just waiting for her to reply now.

Jin placed both of his hands on the sides of your shoulders to stop you from pacing, "Y/n, everything will be alright"

"What if she really meant it when she said she'll forget that I am her daughter?"you worriedly wondered. Before he can say something, your phone vibrated. You immediately check your phone and saw a message coming from her. Your hands were shaky that you had a hard time clicking on it.

Mother:
Come to my house after your work.

"This means she agreed, right?"you hesitated, looking at the screen. Jin took a peek.

"Totally"

"I feel like my heart is going to burst"you sighed as you clung onto his arm. He removed your hands around his arm gently and cupped your cheeks, making you look into his eyes.

"If you feel like you can't do this for yourself, do this for your dad and Beomgyu. It won't be easy but it's not too late to start over your relationship with her"he stated.

He's right.

"Thanks a lot, Jin. I don't know what I would do without you"you smiled. His words made you feel better. You wrapped your arms around his waist and buried your head on his chest. He chuckled about how cute you were as he hugged you back.

"I'm going to work now. I'll see you later, baby"you said and then you proceeded to kiss his cheek. Before you can go downstairs, he grabbed your hand.

"Can you really work now?"he asked.

"Of course. I was already healed and I rested yesterday"you assured. Jin was still hesitant to let go of your hand but you gave him an assuring smile.

"I'll pick you up later"he said, finally letting go of you. You nodded before leaving. Jin went to the bathroom after you left to admire his face. That's an important part of his routine. He believes that showering his self with compliments will give him a glow.

He kinda misses using his powers so he stayed in the bathroom for a while, playing with the water with his hands. He was floating them around and even started juggling. He suddenly stopped when he heard Stish the starfish begging for food downstairs.

He went to the living room where the aquarium is located and grabbed a handful of oysters to feed him.

"Enjoy eating"Jin said and they started to have a friendly conversation after.

You arrived at the restaurant a bit late but you were relieved it isn't open yet so it was just fine. You wore your apron immediately and walked outside of the staff's room.

"Will you be fine?"Jimin asked worriedly as he approached you.

"We heard about what happened to you. You don't have to work for now you know"Hoseok stated.

"Guys, I'm fine now"you chuckled.

"You should bring that mermaid here so I can chop her"Yoongi stated, sharpening the kitchen knife.

"I bet she'll kill you first even before you can attack"Jimin chuckled. "But I'm here to protect you"

Yoongi gave him a disgusted look while showing his sharpened knife to Jimin. Hoseok laughed, clapping his hands while Jimin just rolled his eyes.

After preparing things inside, the restaurant already opened and as usual, Namjoon came in first. He walked towards the counter and stared at the menu.
